I am open to doing free clan tags for anyone. Contact me on my deviant art profile through a note and NOT on my comments page as they will not be acknowledged.

Click on the "My Homepage" button to be directed to my page.

I do get white screen but it's not as annoying as you say it is.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

None. I have since softened my stance. Chrome's problems are now mostly policy/legal, not technical. I still don't like its minimialist UI, though, and I prefer Firefox's debugging capabilities, despite its slower Javascript engine. For regular non-work browsing, I tend to use IE 9, mostly because it is fast and I feel like Chrome is spying on me.

And Chrome was never the worst browser ever. That title has always been held by all IE versions below 9. They suck, and nobody should use them.

Firefox has no debugging utilities out of the box.

Obviously you can pick up Firebug, Venkman, FiddlerHook, etc... (which is probably what you're referring to) but Chrome's tools include most of these as standard now through Developer Tools. In fact, using it with Wireshark to debug WebSocket connections is a breeze.

Even though I'm sticking with Firefox for regular browsing, I'm pretty convinced this is one area Google has one-upped Mozilla in.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

I've coped with that for a long time.

I need an IE with Chrome's UI.

Many people feel like Google is spying on them when using Chrome. It may be true but I don't really have anything to hide so meh.

OT: I use chrome and don't experience what OP is experiencing. Best suggestion is to try another browser. IE isn't so bad anymore. Firefox is good except for it causes my laptop to freeze up every time I use it now. It has turned into what IE was for me.

If you're paranoid that Chrome is spyware, why not use Chromium instead? It's open source!

For all you non-techies, Chrome is built atop the Chromium Project.

I never use them, but I think these are out of the box. Plus, the Get More Tools button takes you to their tools collection.

Hey Tom, what is your opinion on Opera?

  • 12.12.2012 9:40 AM PDT

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

The thing about google chrome is don't make or browse on a google/youtube account and you should be fine. Also disable cookies on all sites and approve them for sites like Bungie.net. I think Google's privacy infiltration is exaggerated a bit but avoidable if you you don't give them
more info.

Also the next google chrome update will have more opt-out and opt-in features for advertising tracking and what not.

Frank O'Connor is a 12-year veteran of the videogame magazine industry and has therefore never worked an honest day in his life.

I've been using firefox nightly (for retina support of course) and the new Javascript engine is so much better that firefox would be my number one browser on any other computer, BUT after using safari on Mac I don't think I could go back, It works like it's suppose to, is fast and looks nice. I've also tried out IE 10 and would say the same about that (besides the unfriendly UI) but keeping it windows 8 only is a buzz kill, Chrome is nice, but your stuck with google breathing down your neck and there are a few backend webkit issues that they haven't ever back ported to the main tree of webkit which hurts the linux development of it.

If you want to experience similar effects while listening to better music, Beat Hazard. Works better if you get the Xbox Indie Games version and play on a big TV. Things went weird after a couple of hours session...

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

Are you talking about viewing from your phone because that happened to me as well with the standard browser it came with. I have since switched to firefox and the white flash, which I think is the background of the site loading then the dark foreground loading, stopped happening.

Fight your way out; only scrubs and mashers jump out of the corner

Something similar happens to me on occasion when Bungie.net renews my XBL session; I'm momentarily redirected to the XBL sign in page, then back to Bungie.net when the authentication is complete.

This usually happens to me when I'm visiting BNet from a new tab / browser session, and not so much from one BNet page to another, but it's still something to watch for.
