Maw

Please tell us which laptop your looking at. There are many laptops, usually a desktop is more powerful, but not always. But, most new laptops will run Halo.

Moron, post the laptop specs.

lol

Hey dude, you have to post the laptop spec's.. just saying 'a laptop' is too vague.

My old old laptop was too slow to run the Halo trial, so I always though that most laptops aren't suitable for gaming.

Get a Thinkpad R52. They run halo at like 30-50 fps. But theyre kinda expensive. You can get the laptop I jjust got is decent. 20-40 fps. Really nice graphics too. $500. Just search buy.com for acer aspire 3624...

i think i asked for no flaming, i think i asked for too much.

• AMD Sempron™ 3300+
• 60GB hard drive
• 15.4" WXGA display • DVD-ROM/CD-RW
• 512MB of DDR memory
• Enhanced 802.11g wireless

this is from circuitcity, i saw it there and it was at a reasonable price, under 600$

also the one i had before can run halo but not with the shiny graphics and when u shoot walls, it doesnt leave a bullethole. when i run CS (HELL YES) maps like de_dust and cs_italy are friggin glitchy because of their size, whereas fy_iceworld has graphics you can survive by. so is the laptop okay? its pretty cheap but got a good rating.

Yeah, thats pretty much the specs of the acer laptop I just posted about. Except the hdd is 40gb, seperated into 2 partitions just to piss me off. I would install vista on it, but it requires like 13gb? Thats basically all I have in each partition..

My Satellite 5105-702 may not support pixel shaders, but if you want to play CS, on lowest resolution with medium detail i get up tp 70 FPS! (this is without Antialasing)

OK, 70 fps MAY be exagerating a bit, medium detail, no AA, and facing a wall. I still get a really good framerate, but sorry if I confused anyone.
