The world is not beautiful: And that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty.

How doe someone's sex have anything to do with this?

Your brother is a pretty cool guy...

While i'd never hit a woman, i'd certainly not stand there and let my ass get kicked by one.

I agree.

"Life is constantly fleeting from your grasp even from the very day it's bestowed upon you, but the shadow of death is always there, waiting for its chance to take you away."

"Even though many may not think so, ignorance and innocence are one and the same. The only difference is that one sounds nicer."

"I once knew a man who spent his entire life contemplating where we go after our death....it's a shame he realized it a second too late to tell anyone."

People really need to drop the, "I refuse to hit a girl" bulls**t. If you're getting hit, you hit back, unless you're stupid enough to sit there and let someone smack you around.

No offense to your little brother, but no, I really think he did the wrong thing.

First off, how stupid are you if you're in the 5th grade but suppose to be in the 8th?

Of course he didn't do the right thing...

he should have gotten teachers involved. That's just ridiculous.

but you don't understand, you are not a guy. It is humiliating to be beat by a girl.

Going for help is nothing to be ashamed of.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Gutted.

In the wild place that is a School, I doubt it.

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

No, she could have poked his eye out, he had to defend himself somehow, at least push her way.

Don't get beat up because you think society should dictate how you defend yourself.

Maybe it was just a little scrap, but if she was really trying to hurt the guy and he didn't do something about it, he's at fault.

If I had the mindset of an 11 year old I would honestly go and get her suspended or worse

Same happened to me once. After some teachers got the -blam!-es to go away, I got really angry and even started crying. My life was kind of -blam!- at that point anyway so that was kind of the final straw...
Some time afterwards I just stopped caring about things in general.

Good, no man should ever strike a woman down like that, but he could have talked his way out or evaded her attacks.

  • 12.11.2012 4:01 PM PDT

That's stupid. No one should let themselves get beat up on principle.

He should have either restrained her or gotten out of there. Doing nothing doesn't prove anything to anyone.

While garnering the admiration of a bunch of 14 year olds on a forum is an aspiration we all share, it's never impressive to get beaten up.

Double standards must be great.

If the other person is relatively as strong as you are then their gender is irrelevant, defend yourself when you have to.

Your brother has honor.
I like your brother's style. Perhaps that girl will come around and see it latter in life.

  • 12.11.2012 4:07 PM PDT

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

So your brother didn't hit the girl? Well that's admirable.
