1. This is 343i's very first disk game to be launched.

2.They have had little experience with Halo.

3.Microsoft is probably one of the worst corporate giants to work for, with all the deadlines and stuff.

4.Halo 4 is a big game, with three primary game modes. One of them(multiplayer) has a lot of sub game modes. I applaud them for trying.

5.They work really hard to make the game special. They continued the story rather amazingly, didn't mess up the lore set up by the novels, and have already supported the game with add-ons.

6.They listen. Grifball is coming to Halo 4 evolved and more fleshed out, much like infection. Grif doesn't die after planting the bomb, but it's a start.

I feel sorry for them in the way that no matter how hard they tried, Microsoft was never going to let this not be a AAA game, and with those mighty restraints, 343i had to produce something that could run along in the casual monstrosity of triple A gaming.

  • 12.11.2012 4:00 PM PDT

1. No excuse for a half finished game that they were given millions to make.

2. Not true considering a lot of the major people within 343i have been working on Halo for years.

3. They are given millions of dollars to fulfill those deadlines that is no excuse.

4. Most of the game modes are taken from Reach and/or were made worse.

5. Making the game special is an opinion and I think you are one of the few people I have ever seen support DLC from a game that just came out around a month ago.

6. Good one considering waypoint and what they have done to other gametypes and the game's overall quality.

I do not want to stop asking. I do not ask to stop wanting.

A) I love Halo 4's single player.

B) 343 did a fantastic job with the game.

C) It's not a matter of such concern. The hate for this game is around the level of Halo 3, actually. Not nearly as much as Halo 2 (That game used to get torn apart. Now look at it. The Flood circle jerks because of it) and Reach.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

I think they did well, although I am not as extreme and eccentric as many people.

And Bungie didn't face this all and much worse with Halo: CE?

343 got a -blam!- ton of money to work with, they had plenty of time, Bungie had to deal with Microsoft also. 343 is just -blam!- with thinking they know what they are doing and don't listen to the community.

It's cute what excuses you all come up with now.

Anyone else up for changing our name to "The Halo 4 Forum"? Anybody? Anybody?

  • 12.11.2012 4:14 PM PDT

Bad maps => Bad multiplayer. Bad multiplayer => Bad Halo game.

That's really all that needs to be said.

No, the "Halo 4 Sucks" Forum. I still don't get why people don't go to the Waypoint forums to voice their opinions. If they care, the should do it, if they don't care about the game, then there's no need to constantly moan and complain about it.

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

You know there's a problem when you are making excuses for why a game is what it is.

The only concern to consumers should be whether Halo 4 was fun, not how hard poor 343 has it.

Not really very inaccurate a decent amount were from Bungie. As for the other key people they have worked within the industry for years. 343i isn't made up of amateurs like Bungie when it was first made or like a lot of other companies out there with their first title. To even act like that is a valid excuse for the unfinished game that is Halo 4 and given the amount of money they had it an absolute joke.

They waypoint forums don't take negative criticism lightly for the most part and by that I mean they ban people. Also this is an off topic forum so Halo 4 is fair game like how all the girl threads are fair game.

Remember when this place wasn't full of -blam!- threads where people -blam!- and moan about games they dislike? It seems like once MW2 came out, these threads just started swarming the front page. And even today, people still -blam!- reply to them, myself included.

I don't get it.

Get the hell off my planet!

Halo 4 is unfinished, I agree, but it is by no means in a beta state like some people say it is. At least 343i has stated that they will be providing free TU's as they become available to "complete" the game. I can only see it as being unfinished due to how big it is, and that MS wanted to keep their release date. Granted, they'd been working on the game since around 2008, but, in the end, they're supporting the game weekly post-launch.

  • 12.11.2012 4:26 PM PDT

Bones of my enemies.

While you made some solid points OP, some of the things that shipped with Halo 4 should never ship with a AAA title under any circumstances. 343 made strides in some areas, but pathetically failed in at least 3 times as many areas.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

1. I like it.
2. I read your post and now have more reasons to respect it.
3. The only flaws I see are minor.

*Looks at the Halo 3 and Reach betas*

Huh you high or something? As for TU's being free that is something expected since all of Halos previous TU's have been free. Also the game is overall smaller than previous Halos if not around the same size so that is a terrible excuse especially given how much money Microsoft put into Halo 4 compared to previous Halos.

I counted 4. There is a statement saying that Frankie said they can be counted on one hand somewhere. Very inaccurate indeed.
