I stopped drinking soft drinks years ago. I will occasionally drink a Coke but never more than a few times a year.

I did have problem with headaches initially and I'm pretty sure it was caffeine withdrawal. Giving up soft drinks actually helped with my insomnia.

Yes I hate my username too.

I stopped drinking Soda and moved to unsweetened ice tea like 2 years ago. Still has caffeine but no sugar (unless you add some). I rarely have soda anymore.

It's because you haven't been getting caffeine.

Try a cup of coffee in the morning.

According to my doctors i'm addicted to caffine and this is pretty much what happpens when I suffer withdrawl from it. so that's probably it depending on the drink.

I suggest you add some juice to your diet in order to get additional vitamins. And I don't mean drinking juices loaded with sugar.

I used to get coffee withdrawals after I stopped drinking 5 cups of coffee a day. Withdrawals lasted about 3 weeks. xD

My band and artist networking/information site. Check it out!

I quit about 8 months ago, I gave up all caffeine though, tea, coffee, soda, everything. I'm on a strict water/juice drink intake.

It's been about two weeks that I have switched to only drinking water. In these two weeks I've been having major headaches and am worrying if this is normal. I have also been taking more naps.

Has anyone else stopped drinking soft drinks? Did you experience similar things? Will these headaches eventually go away?
I didn't get these when I stopped but I'm assuming its just caffeine withdrawal. Rough it out.

Caffeine is a drug with serious addictive properties. When I quit, I had withdrawals, including headaches, as well.

A real test of a man is if he is willing to scrape a sharpened razor up and down his junk just to please a woman.

I had a carbonated flavored water yesterday to try one, but I rarely drink soda.

Sounds like caffeine withdrawal. Caffeine is a great way to kill headaches.

Stay off the drinks a while longer and hopefully the pain will recede.

I have tried that and had very similar results. I bet the headaches will go away. I applaud you for resisting temptation for two weeks.

It's normal. Your body is used to the caffeine and sugar it normally got, and since you stopped you're feeling after effects. It'll pass sooner or later.

It's from having no caffeine. You might want to drink something like Green Tea so you get caffeine or you can try to get rid of the addiction.

Call me Rdog, not RdOG or RdOG1507. I made that username when I thought it was cool to use alternating capital and lowercase letters...

Maybe if you didn't take naps so much you wouldn't have to take naps so much.

Has anyone ever heard of aspartame withdrawal? What if you only drank diet caffeine free drinks?
