Is the thing still in the air? If it is I have to admit I'm impressed. I just hope this doesn't start a -blam!-storm.

It's to intimidate while South Korean elections come up.

South Korea also has a right to be paranoid- they would get stomped if North Korea made a move and it would take weeks to months for the US to retaliate.
I actually disagree with the first point. South Korea is already under intensely conservative rule and there are enough men in charge that are just waiting for NK to provoke them.

It's not my point- it's analysts who make those connections for a living.
I'm not trying to attack your opinion. But as far as your response, I disagree with the analysts. I totally understand the paranoia, but SK has the right people in power currently to handle NK aggression. Provoking SK now before an election would just be more of a reason to keep the current party in power.

Aye, I understand that.

It's not a rational thing to do- but I would be hesitant to call North Korea rational.

I am assuming direct control.

Well if I go to West Point, at least I now know where I'll be going after.

Mreh.

So, has it reached their beach or did they just manage to bomb some poor farmer?

Shouldn't you worry about South Korea or Japan? North Korea may not be equipped for WW3, but they shouldn't be underestimated like this.

Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we are the imagination of our selves.

Impressive, official news finally. Well, now we get to hear a lot of news about how everyone is going to do nothing.

World: NK, you're going to have to come out of your room some time.
NK: <opens door and throws a shoe>
World: You're in big trouble, mister...go to your ro-....oh whatever...

Will add update, story is new. Japan and South Korea report that the north fired a missile. If this is the start of the second Korean war, i'm out of here. I ain't fightin' for this crap.

http://cnn.com

It would still be the first Korean War, as the Korean War is still technically going on. There was just a cease-fire that established two countries. There are also somewhere around 20,000 US soldiers stationed in S. Korea, I believe.

Ignorance is Bliss...Sometimes

If this is the start of another Korean War, I'm done with high school soon. Just telling my friends I'm joining the army, and enlisting.

do you have a driver's license?

when you go to get it, the forms should ask you if you've registered for SS yet and if not, automatically register you.
atleast that's how most states do it now.

or go to SSS.GOV

Got my license when I was below 18. Still, might as well look up North Carolina's laws on the matter.

you can register online... selective service administration's website

it's an official US government website.

you don't have to do the DL thing.
