We all wear masks and the time comes when we cannot remove them without removing our own skin.

D is a passing grade, that is the problem. Well, to your original post OP, both are the problem.

Goes both ways. When I was in high school, I smoked weed before class and still managed a 4.0 gpa.
Either you are already a very learned individual or you just were motivated by the weed.

Sounds incredibly stupid, but I could just focus more.
Eases external stresses, makes sense.
I'm the same way with alcohol.

Indeed so.

For me the problem is not that we don't want to learn, it's rather that i don't want to learn unnecessary things that dosen't matter in the world we live in today.
I used to think that way too but then I started to see that all subjects in school actually start to connect together. For example, history and math connect as we see gradually through history, with extraordinary individuals, that concepts are drawn up that revolutionized the world like the number "0" or the discovery of irrational numbers.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

It's sort of a chicken and egg thing. Are the students dumb because the curriculum is bad, or is the curriculum bad to pander to the dumb students?

The system could be a lot better, but plenty of the students don't know how to behave better than wild animals it seems.

This!

Also bad parenting leads to that.

Ya, I've thought that too in that is it that our curriculum is so dumbed down that students in the end never actually learn a thing.

It doesn't sound stupid, it allowed you to perform better. We discussed in a psychology class that if you're high during class and high during the test, you'll fine. But if you were high during the test/class but sober and inconsistent, you do poorer. It's interesting that it works that way, but it does, sort of like a cue that makes you remember things - such as listening to your favorite music will help you and that you should listen to the music during a test.

Because you learned in that state of mind. Not in a sober state of mind, so to speak.

It is the students.

If I can get a good education from my school while 90% of the people can't, then it is there fault, not the teachers. There is no counter argument to that.

I sat for 4 years in my high school watching idiots not even try and always blame poor grades on a "bad" teacher. Unfortunately, it is usually due to bad parenting why kids don't care.

We don't need to fix the teachers, we need to fix the students/ parents of those students.

There are of course, exceptions where the teacher shouldn't have a job in the first place, but those instances are far and few between, yet are highlighted above everything else.

I'd say that it be safe to take notes so as to have references for later when you be sober, just sayin'.

Yes, though if you're sober during class, you should be sober during the test.

Yes. The same state of mind. :)

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.
