Subject: is it OK to call the cops for a DWI?

Lets say you have a guy who is given the option of having a free cab ride home or having the cops called on him... and he chooses to assault you and then drive off with his two year old in the car.

Is it wrong to call the police?

If no than why are a bunch of people pissed off at me for doing so.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

They pose as a threat to other people, so logically yes.

It was alcohol and he blew 3 times the legal limit.

The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown

I already have a copy of Dynasty Warriors.

OT Call the cops.

You mean DUI.

Can you rephrase the scenario please. It's hard to understand the events.

Circle Jerkin' I got my wiener workin'

Your asking if it's okay to call the police on a guy who is drunk driving with his two year old in the car?

Do you have no common sense?

Nevermind. ^^

No you weren't wrong. It'd be wrong not to. The people mad at you are insignificant nothings. The Flood is proud of you.

Trust me I feel good about doing so.

I am just trying to understand the animosity that the situation generated.

Or for that matter why the hell the dude chose not to take a free cab.

DWI is the terminology used in my jurisdiction.

I've lost too many friends in drunk driving accidents. Of course it's the right thing to do.

Locked up for driving drunk is better than dying or killing someone.

Who knows, people are idiots. I like the feeling of calling the police on a drunk driver, knowing that I ruined an idiot's life while saving my own or someone I care about.
