SERIOUS QUESTION

Question's in the title. Which do you find a better experience gaming on?

For me, it's console. PC gaming's never appealed to me. I don't really care about mods and hyper-realistic graphics; I just want to play the game, and playing on a console feels much more...natural...to me.

What do you prefer when gaming?

  • 12.12.2012 12:52 AM PDT

I don't feel like updating my PC errday.

Disregard Females, acquire currency.

I'm a social gamer, so I prefer consoles.

Inappropriate. Went a little to far with the butt hole tearing.

But if I own a console, is it not my personal console?

The Joyeuse IP Formula

I have a fantastic PC that makes gaming on my 360 feel slow and obsolete. There are still games I enjoy playing with a controller and sometimes I just want to sit back and play on my Xbox, but I still play many more games on PC.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

PC has so much more variety, with cheap indie games, mods, free games and all sorts of things in addition to the big triple A titles you get on console. PC 4 me

Only have to do it every 2 days, man. Don't you even research stuff? God.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts. My friends keep saying that gaming will ALWAYS be better on PC, but I can't be bothered to keep installing pointless crap. I just want to put my game in, perhaps install a small update in the case of today's consoles, and play. Not bother with signing up to random crap or downloading stuff.

I'm terribad with a mouse and keyboard when it comes to multi-player first-person shooters (except Bad Company 2 . . . I spent a whole summer on that, though, so I got used to it), so any multi-player gaming is on my 360.

So, PC for mostly RPGs and mods and stuff.

But all the popular games involve installing updates every time a DLC is released, which by current trends, is pretty much every week.

3 GB BF3 patch and update, as an example.

I really hate playing games using a keyboard and mouse, and don't feel like buying a specialised controller when I can easily play comfortably on my Xbox.

You can use your Xbox controller with a PC.

I'm not really trying to convert you, I'm just pointing things out.

Yeah I already knew that, but don't you need an adapter or something?

"If practice makes perfect" and 'nobody's perfect,' then what's the point of practice?"

All my friends still play Xbox. So I spend more time on that.

I still get on my PC when I get the chance. Still need to finish these games I bought during sales.

Don't have much trouble switching between a K/M and a controller.

Not all games are compatible, though, but I've tried it.

For me, it doesn't feel like a smooth transition.

If you have a USB plug n play you can just plug that into your computer and it'll install itself.

I'm mainly on the Xbox atm, my friends are largely on 360 as well and it's nice to chat with them. We'll be doing LANs though when we're back home for the holidays.

Does that work now? Last time I tried you could charge the controller but not use it.

Really it just depends on your preference.

I've grown up with both, literally, so I have no problem with either, though I prefer the K/M for when I'm playing more precision based games.

I also absolutely love RTS games, and there aren't so many good ones on console as there are on PC, so that factors into my preferences.

I like Cheese

Well, I can't play FPS's on consoles because the FOV is terrible, I get motion sickness from it, I can't play anything that is below 90 degrees FOV.
Also, I don't just use my "gaming" PC for gaming, but also for screwing around with GIMP, Blender and well the mods also come in handy.
Also, Steam sales and such are a benefit.

PC. I grew up gaming on PC thanks to games like Age of Mythology, Starcraft, Enemy Infestation, and World of Warcraft.

I was playing the Hawken closed beta the other day for a few hours and then went to play some Halo 4 multiplayer. Halo 4 felt so...inferior...compared to Hawken because of the console drawbacks. It's scary.
