If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Not approving of guy on guy action =\= homophobia. Unless you truly mean afraid of them. That word is thrown around way too much. Not a homophobe but not supportive of same sex couples either.

Is anyone actually homophobic? Like, genuinely afraid of same-sex couples?

"Homophobe" is just slightly nicer than "bigoted douche bag"

In a class discussion today, (which triggered this post in the first place.) About 5 kids in my class were generally afraid of -blam!--blam!-s. Not just -blam!- encounters, the idea of a relationship between men was so taboo to them they were generally scared of them.

That is weird. Seeing two girls or two guys together doesn't scare me one bit. I don't think it's morally right but people do stuff all the time that I don't agree with. I don't judge though, and I would never be rude to a same sex couple.

How so? I don't really see how two people who love each other can be moral or immoral; it's amoral. It just...is.

No, I'm not.

Something that has crossed my mind before, would it be considered homophobic for someone to be uncomfortable in such situations as changing rooms, showers and urinals? Given that a phobia is an irrational fear and I personally would say that it be rational for them to not want to be checked out in such situations where they are exposed.

Well, good.

I'm assuming you've been introduced to different perspectives from personal beliefs.

That's absurd. Why should someone be afraid of something that they don't even witness?

I agree.
Their main argument for their belief was one of evolution/ biology of how only a man and a woman can reproduce so that was the way humans are intended to live. One of them was religious and took the view of god didn't intend for same sex couples. I also believe that a big taboo was homo-blam!- marriage ( I live in Australia, where Same sex marriage is still a massive taboo) arguing that marriage is sacred and if same sex couples were allowed to marry it would taint or corrupt the idea of marriage.

If I was afraid of or rude to every person who did something I didn't think was right, I would be a very angry person lol. If you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you.

Then he just single-handedly disproved his own faith. Isn't God supposed to be all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfect? Nothing happens that he doesn't want to happen.

Which is exactly what I argued.

However, I am not against homosmexuality. When it's two girls together, it just seems more natural, I guess. But two guys, just odd. A lot of girls agree with me on that.

Who the elderly? They're old-fashioned. Can't laugh about how they were raised years ago. If you're talking about now, our generation, more understandable.

The elderly should be the generation with the least homophobes. With their experience and wisdom they should know to accept homo-blam!-s.

The elderly are more religious, ergo a little more bigoted.
