Subject: How did life begin?

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

Well the scientific community thinks that the presence of the right compounds coupled with a strike of pure electrical energy spawned the first life forms in some pool of water.

This theory is also supported by a 2010 landmark scientific moment in which Craig Venter created the first completely synthetic life form in a similar manner.

It is one of the most unfairly unknown achievements in human history.

Just keep it nice. Some say it comes from stars

Octavia is best pony.

A bag of amino acids and other organic molecules twitched and divided.

Lightning struck a bubble of primordial soup, and then organic molecules and DNA came together to create a bacteria that would produce more of it's self.

I remember when that was the top story on the news. But i have not heard anything since then. I wonder what he is up to?

I would say what I think but to explain I would have to post verses of my book and that will get your thread closed so I'm not gonna do that.

The synthetic life form was irrelevant, as although the genome was synthetic, it was based off a preexisting bacterium. While it's a momentous achievement, it has nothing to with the question of where the previous bacterium came from.

I rule the midnight air, the destroyer, die by my hand, I am Creeping Death.

I believe in intelligent design however I don't want to spark a religious debate so I will leave it as that.

Many different explanations are given. The one I find to be most likely is the idea of self forming cells.

ie, small bubbles forming at the ocean floor during times of extreme weather conditions on earth. These bubbles containing layers of minerals around the edge to form the first primordial cells.

The thing is though. If all these biological things happened. What managed to create the consciousness?

Our whole universe was in a hot dense state...

Forty million years ago expansion started wait...

And then the Earth began to cool, the autotrophes began to drool...

I disagree. While it would have to be based on a previously existing bacterium (because we can only learn based on what we see around us), it was still assembled from scratch.
Ergo, if the all of the necessary ingredients are present, the current theory that life was created at random is a very real possibility.

No?

That's all I have to say about that.

Something about proteins and nucleic acids. I think I watched a documentary about it once.

Son, you're not making any damn sense.

The appendix could theoretically disprove intelligent design. We have a useless organ that sometimes ruptures resulting in extreme pain or even death. Doesn't sound very intelligently designed to me.

I am backing up Max for this argument.
