I believe in intelligent design however I don't want to spark a religious debate so I will leave it as that.

The appendix could theoretically disprove intelligent design. We have a useless organ that sometimes ruptures resulting in extreme pain or even death. Doesn't sound very intelligently designed to me.
It was nice while it lasted

It's a million times better designed anything that you can make so don't judge. Your car breaks down every 3 months and you're saying that something like the Sun is not well designed please.

There are people with brains that are useless that result in their death as well. If you want to disprove intelligent design, just read Internet forums and facebook statuses.

Very true. But isn't said designer supposed to be all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfect? If that is the case, there should be no errors in his designs, nor no accidents.

They are designed to run their own course. If nothing happened to them then how could you learn anything? And with all the accidents and so called space disasters and Scientists saying that a meteor will hurt Earth and make everybody scared, yet a meteor hasn't hit the Earth in like 700 million years and there are like billions of rocks hurdling towards us.

See the problem you have there buddy is you fail to realize that you're looking for physical evidence of an all powerful creator. That evidence does not exist in the physical world as we comprehend. An all powerful creator who created the universe and life as we know it would also have the ability to conceal his existence from us.

If there's no evidence of his/her/its existence, why do people believe it?

I have a question. If God wanted us to worship him then why did he give us free will?

If you want to know about my religion and what I think then send me a private message. But just something from my book it says that "La ikraha fil deen" "there is no compulsion in religion" You have to worship him freely. If you don't want to to worship him then don't worship him anyone at all. But we all worship something don't we?

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me"

Don't know.

Maybe it was direct intervention by a deity of some sort, or maybe it was aliens, or maybe just some sort of natural occurrence we don't know about. I guess what ever the answer is it will be kind of cool, but it doesn't effect my life in any way.

You wan't him to pop out of sky, slap you on the head and say "Hey worship me" No way you can think about God and get a mental image in your head.

Because the word doesn't preach his existence. It preaches faith and salvation.

But that's where the confusion lies. Why would you believe something that there's no evidence of?

You need to understand it through the scripture of the religion. If you want to know about mine then feel free to message me. I don't know much about others but a verse in my book says 21:30 - Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder?

Isn't this what you all believe about the origin of the universe that there was a separation? You don't need to see God to understand him. You can understand him through what he creates

I've been thinking about this, currently I think life originated at a sub atomic level during the first few seconds of the big bang. Which I would surmise was the purpose of the big bang.
