Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.
Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith
So, I got that stupid call from the "Microsoft PC Support Center" about a serious risk on my windows based PC. After going off, telling him exactly where to jam his headset, I thought, that call center has to be expensive.
I could hear a few people behind him talking. That means its a traditional call bank with rows of telemarketers. They are likely paid by the hour, and by the successful dupe.
Also, they had my name and phone number. That means they bought a list from someone. Those lists are not cheap.
That means that there must be enough people falling for this to pay for this call center, the lists, and turn a profit too. Otherwise why do it?
So, are there really enough people that would fall for this scam that its this profitable? I thought that by now there must be enough scare pieces on the networks that everyone would know about these scams.
