Subject: I need help burning a music disk.

I am trying to burn a music CD with windows media player. What happened is when I put the CD in, the autoplay comes up and I ask it to burn a music CD, but when it goes to the WMP, it shows that it is burning a data disk, in other words it will only play on a computer or some DVD players. Are there any computer nerds who can tell me what is going on?

The problem is that you're using Windows Media Player. I suggest using software designed by professionals, such as Nero.

I used nero before, the quality of disks it burnt was downright terrible. Thanks for the help though, I found out what was wrong.

So, Windows prompts you to bun a Music CD... But, instead of doing that, you open up Media Player to do it? Why not just use Windows?

Regardless, Media Player should do it just fine. It's been a while since I've burned an audio CD, but I don't ever recall it being too difficult.

I was going to say DiscJuggler, but I don't think it exists anymore.
