Just an Average Joe...

Guys, I'm going to buy so many presents for people this year. Hell, I'll probably buy lots of you guys presents, and better yet, I'll probably end up accidentally giving people presents who aren't even on my list this year! What a very merry way to spend my holidays, oh jolly days!

And do you know what makes all of this even better? After two weeks I'm going to thank you for participating in the two week trial you've just beome aware of, with your gifts, at which time I shall take them away from you, and keep them for myself and my own enjoyment. That way, we all win.

Merry Christmas!

You may use this system on your loved ones, friends and family, and it will save you a lot of money in the long run! Just make sure you tell them it was a trial run to begin with AS you're taking the gifts back (not before!), and not that you accidentally bought too many presents you couldn't afford, or didn't actually want to buy them something to begin with.

It should also be noted that once you take the presents away, your loved ones can still BUY them from you. Just remember that.

Your mistake in your derp analogy is that Microsoft never presented the DLC as a gift, it was a mistake.

It wasnt an analogy. I was just acknowledging what a great system it was.

Clever.

I assume you've already told all these people that they would have to pay full price for these presents and they willingly accepted to do so until this unexpected surprise, right?

Since I opted in for extra days off back before November for Christmas break, does that mean I can keep those exclusively? Or is everyone getting those work days off as well?

It's funny you mention that, because it's a great analogy and one that I've actually experienced in the last year.

Last year, I booked the three days between Boxing Day and New Year's Day as vacation. Some time after that everyone in my company was given those days off free and clear.

So, what do you think happened to those of us who had already booked the vacation days? We were given them back so that no one was cheated.

Very fair.

Agreed. But the sad part is, in this case I'm sure there is a small percentage of people who feel they should get to keep the maps. That's ridiculous, and unfair.

But that's not the problem with what happened. The problem is the deceit both 343 and MS agreed to participate in to cover up what was understandable human error.

NON FACET NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERNĒ¢UM

I see what your getting at, we are all a bit peeved at Microsoft with the DLC issue.

Wait, you were reimbursed because your employers thought it was unfair? Seems... too simple.

I'd rather someone admit they messed up and move on with life rather than try to make a fake coverup.
