MC might not have to get to High Charity. High Charity could come to him...

Gravemind being killed by Arbiter. It's plausible, if you think of Arbiter as "Christ" and Gravemind as "The Beast".

Gravemind is the central consciousness of the Flood. Whether the Flood can carry on without him..yes. I think so. Think back to Halo. The only brain form was the Keyes Flood, which is essentially a Gravemind in the making. The Flood can still infect before there was a brain form(unless they created one right away, and it somehow got on board the T&R). If so, why would they bother even making a brain form..I've no clue. Hm..somehow I can't seem to put my finger on it... Gravemind might be a bigger role than you think. The idea seems plausible, it could hinder the Flood perhaps.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

The Keyes form is one of the control forms, which gets the orders from Gravemind, or from people it absorbs...orders around combat forms, and infectrion forms..ad pilots vehicles..

We see them all through High Charity.

High Charity can't travel, since it's only power source (The Forerunner Ship) is gone..

yea

remember, the flood arent "sentient" theyre parasites, they dont really need minds

but im sure how you destroy something that is omnipresent (always there) and almost omni-intelligent (all knowing)

if HC reaches earth, then the flood can spread

which will make chiefy have to activate the rings

THEN WE ALL ARE SWEPT AWAY INTO THE DIVINE BEYOND !!!

isnt it grand??? just foolin

all i want is to see the rings activate.........i mean the game is called HA-LO, cant we see what happens when theyre turned on?

High Charity could still travel methinks. Power source might be cut off, but there might still be a bit of power left still in its drive.

Well actually, the guy who started this has a point.

Also I've noticed that the Flood almost seem to mimic Graveminds intent correct? The Flood seemed to go after the Prophets when the Gravemind sent the Master Chief that way. It might be possible, but seems a wee bit like a copied idea.

Also..the Keyes (Brain) form was abord the Truth and Reconcilliation to try to break Halo's orbit, pilot the ship, and bring the Flood to Earth (or High Charity..?)

Donno if it was made immediately, but I'd believe that Keyes was brought aboard the T&R via Flood controlled Dropship, and fused with other beings with useful info (Elite captains)

GM would straddle the arbiter.....make him bend over

ok i shouldnt have said that but one elite vs. the omnipresence of the galaxy?

elites are for comic relief.......i wish i could find an "elite" montage

GM is..........just too powerful to say "kill him"

LoL, the arby

Okay, I think that the term Iceman is using " mindless parasites " is a little, off.

In the first game, why would they have wanted to get off the planet? Maybe just to find more food, but everything that they did would qualify above animalistic intelligence, and if not every Flood exactly, how can something that not talk to each other have the same intention?

It seems plausible, I think so.

their parasitic nature belies their intelligence, sure

but they arent "sentient"

yet they do all these things under the command of one being, or your GM

if that was true, then they would need a GM on 04 to control them, seeing as how the "brainform" doesnt give orders, it simply serves a means of transferring data to the flood.

so one being must be running the show, correct?

so if this is true, there should be a GM in 04, correct?

why is it that, seeing as how 04 is destroyed, there are still flood doing their thing over threshold?

unless GM controls ALL of them? then why would he be on 05.......why not 06

why am i asking all these questions? i have work in the morning and i should be hitten the hay !

it seems to me that GM is only one being who is watching this stuff happen and making sure things play out to his order

why would he essentialy say

"Master Chief. Stop the prophet of Truth. oh, and even though i control the flood, im.......not gonna tell them to leave you alone. you have to fight thru them so you can carry out my bidding..."

LoL, not sure if my "re-enactment" got the point across, but ill say this: why would GM put so much faith in MC, then sic his flood on him?

this means he cant control them...........

To be honest, we just don't know anything about the flood's hierarchal structure to say what would happen if we were to kill Gravemind. We don't know how he communicates with his drones, don't know if he has other "commanders", don't know if the flood can propogate via inhaled spores...

343 Guilty Spark would know... maybe we should beat it out of him :)

Yea Iceman, I was thinking that, but wait, yea.....

It would be a real cool plot twist/suprise, if 343 was to be interrogated, release some very important info that the Master Chief needed, and for them to some how contact him and for him to be all like, "aww -blam!-." in a huge flock of Flood around them.

I meant the MC trying to kill gravemind. Do you think GM would let him do that or take a stand?

GM wouldnt let chief touch him.........remember that this guy is omnipresent......if chief is a his front door, planning an attack, GM is just gonna be like " yeah , thats cute "

but.......he doesnt controlt the flood........or at least that is what im lead to believe

does anyone here still believe that GM controls the flood?

cuz if he sends chief on a mission.........and his flood that he CONTROLS attacks chief............then i would assume, no, confirm that GM cant control the flood

but thats just me
