They call me graland.

OK, so here's a vs. thread that's actually a close fight. We have two races of large, strong, bipedal aliens with a strong warrior culture and mandibles for mouths. Both have a fondness for active camouflage, plasma weaponry, and blades. Both are interstellar and regard humans as little more than pests to be hunted.

So which one would win in a 1 on 1 fight? Would the odds change if we're talking about fights on a larger scale?

Name: Vien (Sven) 'Quitonm

It's obvious OP, the Sangheili race is the master race.

It all depends on how they are armed and where the fight is. The Predators do better in a jungle or forest environment, the Elites in a plain. Also, what weapons are they fighting with?

To be fair though, the Predators have one distinct advantage, their sight. They see heat. The Elite's active camouflage would be worthless.

Correction, punched twice by someone who can flip over a tank by looking at it.

I'd have to say a Predator.

They have honor sure, but other than that they are just plain brutal. Not even nice to look at.

-1/10 would not bang.

Don't LOL if you aren't L'inOL.

Halo: Reach
Halo 3
Halo ODST

Sangheili are clearly superior.

No point in putting something funny, clever or informative here. Most probably im going to get perma-banned anyway.

No one wins. The elite kills the predator but then the predator blows up the elite with the death bomb thing.

Online Gaming's pretty much like a zombie movie. There are a lot of mindless idiots roaming around but you find some survivors on the way.

I'd give it to the Predator, if he utilized his camo and plasma caster effectively.

Actually the sight thing makes me think that the Elites stand no chance at all. The Predators have a clear advantage.

There is nothing the Elite could do, save covering itself in mud, to hide from the Predator. The Predator, whoever, can remain stealthy from the Elite, as long as it stays dry.

So, the Elite would die pretty quickly.

I'm fairly certain that a Predator is stronger than a human at peak level.

John isn't some "human", he's a genetically/drug-boosted human.

The Elite has one significant advantage, though: energy shields.

That's funny, because if you could actually read you would know that I said he was a human at PEAK level. A human at his strongest capability. He is not "super human" like so many people believe. He is merely at peak level, which is what I said.

That may even the playing field just a little, but he still wouldn't be able to attack what he couldn't see.

The Predator can see the Elite, the Elite can't see the Predator.

That's a hard advantage to overcome.

Neither is Dutch Schaefer and predator threw him around like a rag doll.

Motion sensor would make it a smaller advantage than you might think.

I believe we're getting off-topic, although it's partially my fault.

Lets get back to the topic at hand by figuring out an estimate of how much each can lift (or at least pick up).

Uh, no. All of the muscular and bone enhancements give Spartan-IIs an unassisted strength far beyond any unaltered human. When John was 12 year olds he killed several ODSTs with a single hit each. When you add the assistance of the Mjolnir armour, that strength gets enhanced by several multiples.
The SPARTAN-IIs are capable of lifting three times their body weight, which is double the normal weight of an average human due to the ceramic bone augmentations, in addition to their increased muscle density. Fred-104 is noted for using his enhanced strength combined with his skills to kill a Brute with his bare hands during Operation: First Strike. Cal-141 was capable of blocking a Jiralhanae Chieftain's Gravity Hammer swing with a single hand, dodging multiple swings from the Chieftain, use her enhanced muscle strength to jump to great heights, and wound the Chieftain with a few punches and kicks. During the events of Halo: The Flood, John-117 was able to use his enhanced strength to kill Covenant Elite's with skull breaking punches. During the events on planet Onyx, Will-043 used his enhanced strength to engage a Hunter pair in hand to hand combat, and succeeded in killing one by ripping the worms out of its body. In the same battle, Kelly-087 engaged three Sangheili Major/Spec-Ops Elite's in hand to hand combat, snapping the wrist of one Elite, taking his energy sword, and cutting three Elite's in half with a single swing.

But please, don't use the non-canon gameplay of the Halo games to say that Elites are weak.
