Yeah, these people put Halo2 on a very tall pedestal yet fail to realize a few key things

1) Halo2 was shipped with so many flaws, bugs, glitches...but wait, they difend Halo2 by saying these glitches made the game more "enjoyable" and "competetive".
2) There were just as many haters of Halo2, if not more, then Halo4. They all whined about the same crap you are whining about now. You are a very loud, very vocal MINORITY.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Halo2. It is just funny to see these kids thinking they are spouting out something profound, new or insightful.

Another thing you failed to realize Halo 2 was the first Halo game to have online multiplayer and there was a high chance the multiplayer would not have happened. Halo 4 on the other hand is a completely different scenario. To use such a thing as justification for Halo 4's problems really is laughable.

Well laugh all you want, the only point I was really trying to make was how sad it is that many people spend a good portion of their online time to type out college essays on why they hate a VIDEOGAME. Halo2, Halo3, HaloReach, Halo4, it doesn't matter, it is all the same in a neverending wheel of whining.

We get it, you hate the game, GREAT! Move on with you lives and start a new game or hobby.

I see the various problems with Halo4, I am just not petty or pathetic enough to constantly whine about it. Then again, I am an adult.

I am thankful for the escape it gives me and my friends when we want to get away for a bit, laugh a bit, kill a bit. Sorry you expected so much more.

I see your point, but my only issue with your stance is it seems that you label all negative comments as whining which isn't true. Just because you like a game doesn't mean you can't give some criticism on the game whether it be good or bad the same can be said about those that hate it. Now I do that it is a bit extreme how much some people choose to complain about the game, but that may be what they like to do in their free time. Personally I wasn't expecting much out of Halo 4 considering the direction Halo has been going.

I agree, actually 343i didn't made Halo 4, 4 companies were helping build Halo 4. And 343i were just observing the story they created to become true.

343i didn't made the map pack, they didn't made the Anniversary Map pack nor the Halo CEA... what is 343i doing? In fact because they didn't build the game but just the story, they don't know how to manage it.

They can give a detailed answer of MC's story and Cortana, but can't explain why these things are unfinished and what they can do.

I do find it strange how many people can so passionately defend an incomplete and broken product. And particularly how none of the major gaming blogs have noticed it.

This is the self-righteous attitude that bugs me. You keep claiming that Halo 4 is a broken product but you don't have any tenable arguments to the point.

What are you talking about?? There are many arguments that support this attitude.

-Broken Forge
-Broken Custom Game options
-No Assault, no classic CTF, no customizable Infection
-Weapon despawn times
-No ammo on maps
-Pre-game lobby is unintuitive
-Pre-game lobby is hard to use in a party

And these are just the things that can be proven. The matters of opinion regarding JIP, instant respawn, map designs, weapon balance, ordinance drops and AAs, specs, perks, mods and all that jazz is another matter altogether.

The thing I don't get about people like you Plasma is that you talk about people who dislike the game as if they have no merit in their arguments. There is plenty of merit, and plenty of evidence.

I mean.... of that list I just provided to you do you honestly think they're acceptable?

1) The Forge isn't "broken," it is missing precision editing. I agree this is a major detraction, but using hyperbole to make your point doesn't speak well for your case.

2) See above

3) Again, all of which are inexcusable, but hardly different from the detractions Bungie made with Reach's customs. It is hypocritical to point this out without simultaneously being critical of Reach.

4) Haven't experienced problems with weapon despawns first hand.

5) No ammo on maps hardly constitutes a major flaw.

6) Your opinion (I disagree)

7) Your opinion (I disagree)

4-7 aren't game breaking problems. 6-7 are opinions based on your preferences. I liked the feel of Reach's UI better as well, but I would not say that Halo 4's UI is unusable or abstruse.

You see, flamer, I am not disputing that there are problems with Halo 4. As with any title, including past Halos, there are issues and some of them are not excusable. Where I fundamentally disagree with you and Eagle is here:

1. The problems with Halo 4 are game breaking flaws.

2. The problems with Halo 4 are unprecedented in the evolution of the Halo franchise, especially when one considers Halo: Reach.

That's it. Criticize the game for its flaws and offer feedback to 343i so the game can improve, but don't start invoking 343i's intrinsic inferiority when that is completely based on a biased perspective to begin with.

What? Got something against Yetis?

I totally agree with you OP. There are just too many details that 343 messed up. I often find myself just quitting out because of the server lag, and going to forge, which also has a bunch of frustrating glitches.

I don't get this. I play from a totally different country with a connection that by gaming standards is crap, and I barely experience any lag.

Don't you get it, OP? You should thank them for letting you spend a ridiculous sum of money on a shoddy and/or incomplete product. You're a whiny entitled baby if you don't, and according to our EA benefactors, possibly a homophobe.

It must vary. But I have a good connection (by every other multiplayer's standards), yet I lag-o-port 3-4 minutes into every game I play.

I've lagged pretty bad a few times, but usually the gameplay is pretty smooth. Is your NAT restricted? Mine is wide-open!

It's called opinions. Halo didn't ship broken or half finished, it shipped completed and on time. People just think it's broken and unfinished because you all can't understand the concept that this is mother-blam!- Halo 4.
Not Halo.
Not Halo 2.
Not Halo 3.
Not Halo Wars.
Not Halo 3 ODST
Not Halo Reach

It's god damned mother-blam!- piss up my -blam!- ass HALO 4.

Signatures are for little kids.

I'm enjoying Halo 4. Sucks to be you I guess OP.

If you don't like something move on to something you do like. I bought Black Ops 2, hated it and traded it in 5 days later. You don't see me making threads whining about how let down I was.. because I'm an ADULT.

You unlock this door with the key of inebriation. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of gingers, a dimension of drunks, a dimension of Lucky Charms. You're moving into a land of both beer and potatoes, of marshmallows and leprechauns. You've just crossed over into... the Shamrock Zone.

100% agree with OP. So sick of video games now a days being half finished because they have a set release date. Thus there are one day patches because the company creates a "beta" one month before release date and didn't have time to fix the issues. You end up getting half-assed multiplayer, where there are no lobbies, get placed into random uneven matches, some weapons are OP, there are glitches and bugs, etc.

Halo 4 isn't the only game that has been rushed. So has Killzone 3, Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter and so many other games.

But it really did ship broken. A lot of custom game options are broken or missing, Forge regularly breaks with certain palettes being utterly unusable and this lighting that they were so proud of breaks as well leaving weird shadows everywhere.

So it's not opinions, its fact. The game has actual broken things. I'm not talking about the DMR being broken or the ordinance drops being broken, I'm talking about actually broken things. i.e. they are meant to work but don't work.
