My usual Bnet username is "no weakness" but the e-mail address I use to sign into my Microsoft Account (and thus Bnet) is no longer current.

So, I switched my gamertag over to my current e-mail, but am now forced to have a new account as my identity on Bnet.

My original account still functions, except my gamertag is no longer associated with it (which is obviously totally a big deal).

I'd really like to see [Bungie.next] allow you to change which Microsoft Account your Bnet username is associated to.

Here is the best link that I can direct you to. Good luck.

Also, it's Bungie.next and it will be much more efficient with these sort of things.

I assume the new website will make it much easier for you to manage your profile and the services (Microsoft account, email address, ect.) associated with your account. It is possible to fix your issue, but it's a little complicated if you don't know what you're doing. So, I'll be more than glad to walk you through the steps. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Here's what your setup currently looks like.

Microsoft account 1 (Email 1) --> Bnet Profile (no weakness)
Microsoft account 2 (Email 2) --> Xbox LIVE gamertag

STEP 1: Change the Microsoft account associated to your Xbox LIVE gamertag back to the Microsoft account that is associated to your Bungie.net profile. Please note you can only change the Microsoft account associated to your gamertag once every 30 days.

Xbox LIVE gamertag <--> Microsoft account 1 (Email 1) <--> Bnet Profile (no weakness)
Microsoft account 2 (Email 2)

STEP 2: Change the email address of Microsoft account 2 to something else. This will make your current email address available to use. You will have to wait 30 days after step 2.

Xbox LIVE gamertag <--> Microsoft account 1 (Email 1) <--> Bnet Profile (no weakness)
Microsoft account 2 (Email 3)
Email 2 [Unlinked]

STEP 3: Change the email address of Microsoft account 1 to your current email address. Your current email address will now be associated to your Bungie.net profile and Xbox LIVE gamertag.

Xbox LIVE gamertag <--> Microsoft account 1 (Email 2) <--> Bnet Profile (no weakness)
Microsoft account 2 (Email 3)
Email 1 [Unlinked]

@Cryptic

Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of that method however I really didn't want to go through a two month process just to change something that should be extremely simple to take care of from Bnet.

Just wanted to put this issue out there and let's hope Bungie does greatly improve profile management after the site update.
