I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.
Considering the question suggests that the US won the cold war and how the USSR lost, I guess that'd mean that the US would no longer be a capitalist country, and the world post year 1991 would be a slightly different place.
Because of the nature of the collapse of the USSR, specifically how it wasn't a violent revolution, I suspect that not much would change, globally. The remainder of the modernized world wouldn't likely be directly effected by this change because the fall of capitalism wouldn't automatically mean the rise of communism - it would just mean capitalism failed.
I suspect if the US lost the cold war the way the USSR did, we'd end up with something very similar to what we have now, but far more socialist in nature, considering what we've developed since 1991. That evolution theory is just a wild guess, though. It's impossible to tell.
