Any PM's (about my armor) sent over Bungie.net or Friend Requests (for my armor) over Live will be unanswered/declined. Sorry! All you need to know is that I was given my armor because I fulfilled one of the secret requirements for Bungie Day 09. I am a pre-owner of Recon!

OP, I had a miserable time in high school. I was smart and capable, but completely emotionally incapable of doing anything to help myself. It got so bad that I wanted to just drop out and never do anything for the rest of my life. I felt useless, stupid and burdensome to my family.
Late junior year, something horrible happened to my family and by early senior year, I was nearly catatonic. But someone who cared about me very deeply told me there was no way I was ever going to be happy unless I pulled myself together and went to college. I did everything I could to just get by. I was so nervous about colleges that I only applied to two universities, neither of much stature or reputation. I got accepted to both and went to the one that I felt was the best fit.
I have been in college for awhile now and thank myself and that person who cared about me enough to try and make sure I had something to make for myself was there when I need them. The school I go to isn't great, but I made it here and I will achieve a sustainable way of life by graduating soon. If you even got considered for Brown you're leagues ahead of where I was. You'll do fine wherever you go. Just know that you can do amazing things despite the school and it's name. Enjoy your senior year and look forward to the future.
Awesome story. It's reassuring to hear this. It's strange. I kind of fantasized what it would feel like telling my parents that their son got into an Ivy and so on.
But I'm not too down. A bit shocked and disappointed but as my father always says, "Hope for the best, expect the worst."
Thanks for the replies guys.
And someone asked for my SAT/ACT scores, correct? I got a 2070 and 30 respectively.
