I'm drinking bottled water right now...

Lt. Dan I brought you some ice cream. Lt. Dan.. ice creaaam!

OP has never heard of syntax, grammar and proper sentence structure. My eyes are sad.

Very, sure I can see the convenience factor, but it shouldn't your go-to source of water. Tap water is just fine, and bottled water is often just that. If you don't like the taste of the water, filter it or add a lemon.

Even if you tap water has lots (relative to other places) of contaminants, you're probably fine. Hell my local water has relatively high levels of uranium, arsenic, and lead but it's still safe.

hmm

It's not. It tastes better plus it's cleaner.

  • 12.12.2012 11:53 PM PDT

OP, you are correct, but I like the convenience. But I do recycle... so I'm not extremely terrible. And my parents buy them so it's not my money. When I move out I'll probably get some reusable bottles and one of those water filter things.

Wizzy

It's funny. Here in Scotland, our tap water is so good and clean it is basically bottled water.

  • 12.12.2012 11:58 PM PDT

How stupid is writing the word 'ugh' in a sentence to you?

Relatively high compared to most other places, however within safe dosage limits. Uranium is highly predominate in the underlying strata as well as being close to the Trinity site.

Interesting, I didn't know buying a drinking bottle is stupid.

It depends where you live too. Where I live, the town water is pretty crappy. It tastes a LOT different than pure bottled water. I still drink it, but it is crap.

I don't really care either way, but I just get annoyed when people refuse to drink tap water because it's 'bad for you' or something. Get real.

I buy bottled water occasionally, because it can be handy while out on the go or if I know I won't have access to tap water for an extended period of time and may need a couple bottles.

Well I agree with OP but I'm an exception, my town is so awesome we have mineral water right from the sink. Even the shower. Even the toilets, actually.

Now get in the van.

The Black Chapter

I just buy it for the convenience of a bottle either for the gym or to have in my bag. If I already have a bottle I can put water in....then I'm off to a winning start to the day

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

Can you provide some evidence?

OT: I always drink tap water. I trust that the water treatment facilities in my area can provide safe water.

I pretty well always drink tap water. Though where I live and where I grew up has some very strict regulations regarding water purity. Much better than they have for bottled water.

The best example I have of people being stupid over bottled water was when I was at the Pemberton Festival back in 2008. People were buying bottles of Whistler Water for about $5 a bottle. They could get the exact same water, for free, from a tap by walking an extra 20-30 m behind where it was being sold. All "Whistler Water" was was bottled tap water from a nearby town.

I couple of years ago, I invested in a few BPA free bottles. I just refill these with the filter water from my fridge. I take these everywhere I go.

When we do purchase bottled water, its typically when we go camping, go to a sporting event or concert (they let you take in one empty water bottle).

Retarded, but that's because I'm Finnish and our tap water is as pure as it gets. I understand the benefits of bottled water in less developed countries.
