It was filled with great musicians. McCartney is still performing as i'm typing this. And there wasn't filled withy people talking about the disaster, just for a few minutes every half hour.

Still doesn't need to be done when far worse disasters happen.

List a disaster worse than this. And don't say Katrina or any of the tsunami's because those all had charity events as well.

Wait let me get this straight I can't name another disaster that has a commercials/advertisements for charity even if I disagree with it? Honestly that is kind of stupid since you are admitting I am right while trying to deny it at the same time.

Well I'm sorry if I've got more important things to do than watch Kanye West shake what his momma give him.

Out of all of the performers, you're really gonna mention him? Yes, he sucked and really shouldn't have been there, but that's your reason to not watch any of the concert?

serioulsy, the whole concert?

But you're saying that this event didn't need to be done, like there wasn't $80 billion in damages. These events are meant to raise money to help cleanup and repair.

There has been more expensive disasters over the past few years. Personally it is just another way for people to earn money off of other's pain/suffering. As for raising money that really shouldn't be a concern since there are many other organizations/companies that are suppose to handle the cleanup and don't need the extra money.

More expensive disasters in the past few years? Please name one. And they don't need the money? Are you kidding me?

Depends what you consider a few years like 5 or less or what? Even if it is less than that that isn't hard to do. As for money yeah it isn't needed since insurance covers a lot of damage along with relief organizations and the rest is covered by the government for the most part.

2 billion don't make up the entirety of "ain't nobody". "Ain't nobody" consists of all the people currently in existence which is over 7 billion so not even half.

You still have yet to name one disaster. And fyi, the insurance companies don't cover flood damage in Manhattan.

2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Now that was easy wasn't it. I could also say Katrina, but that is a bit too old. At least in terms of money it is easy to beat Sandy. Now if we want to go by deaths it is even easier. Also obviously insurance companies in Manhattan don't cover flood damage, but that wasn't the only place hit.

And there was a charity event for the earthquake/tsunami, so what's your point?

When did I say there wasn't? Nowadays people try their hardest to publicize death and destruction to make money off of it. My point being you are saying it is disappointing that nobody really cared and I am saying there are worse things that have happened over the years. If anything a lot of Americans try to act like a simple disaster is the end of the world when it really isn't and doesn't need publicity to get over.

Who is making money off of it? All the money is going to the relief efforts. A simple disaster? News stations are calling it the worst storm in US history.

As for who is making money off of it not all money goes to the relief since it does cost money to run a company which is what a lot of relief efforts are. you can use the word charity or non-profit organization, but in the end someone is still making a nice profit. As for simple disaster let us look at the facts. Katrina killed 1833 people and caused $108 billion in damages while Sandy killed 253 people and caused an estimated $65 billion in damage. Now it is probably the worst storm in northeastern US history, but it is not the worst storm out there. Also don't be so closed minded since you are acting like the US is the only place that matters when that is far from true other countries experience worse disasters, but we tend to forget about those after around 2-3 weeks. Yet here we are still talking about Sandy and hell people still talk about Katrina since I saw a commercial about it a few days ago.
