anything that's been rubbed in dirt for a couple of minutes. those comics a pretty gritty.
i meant the dark sense of humor kind of gritty. one of the things i loved about Punisher Max.

No I think your looking for something that's been left on the side of the road for a couple of years. I'm almost positive.

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

I'm telling you, Deadpool Pulp is great. Try it out, you will love it.

I have no idea if it is still relevant today, but 20 years ago Judge Dredd was my favourite comic.

There was something unholy about Mega City one, and I still believe that it is the most ago sized dystopian future setting we've seen in print/on screen to this day.

I used to be indecisive, but now i'm not sure.

Any true Dredd fan would know that the comic is called 2000AD.

OP I would recommend Joker.
It is a Batman graphic novel that tells the tale of a young gangster trying to get close to the Joker.
It can be pretty twisted at times but it sure is pretty to look at and the dialogue flows amazingly well.

Also you should check out some of Frank Millers work from his prime.

Comics like The Dark Knight Returns, Hard Boiled, Sin City, Daredevil: The Man Without Fear.

All them are pretty gritty.

Oh!
Also the Walking Dead is pretty darn good.
The artwork is all in black and white, and is slightly stylized, it kind of gives off the feel of the classic zombie movie and yet this book paints a world much darker than that.
Unlike the television show you'll actually watch these characters develop and will probably come to like most of the cast which makes their deaths that much harder to deal with.
The stories are filled with pretty dark twists at times.
I recommend reading them in the Omnibus form.

Signatures are for little kids.

I haven't read too much comics, but a buddy lent me all the 'Next Men' and it was good stuff.

You might also like Brian Michael Bendis's run on Daredevil.
[Omnibus]

Fables is a pretty note worthy graphic novel.
Basically the series deals with Fairy Tale characters living out in New York.
Of course there is plenty of violence and boning, murder and mystery and what not.

Well, there is that. But I didn't think anyone would recognise 2000AD. So I called it Judge Dredd. Problem?

Besides, I'm old now, and it was 20 years ago...
