Why? I realize this is kind of old news but why is it? The game has barley been out a month now I don't understand why they would already drop the price. I know many people dislike the game but that still don't explain the reasoning behind it. Anyone know? I'm curious.

It's called a sale before Christmas. You know...one of the biggest shopping holidays of the year...

Still doesn't explain. No other new titles do that and dropping the price at all after a month of it being out seems kind of.. Desperate, in a sense.

Ir's a sale, not a price drop. A sale is temporary during the holidays and yes, it does explain it. Also, other new games are doing it as well. Black Ops 2 is $10 off right now on Amazon.

Must be your first time paying attention to this.

OP has never heard of Christmas sales apparently.

Well, I've been economical with the truth.

OP's looking for a reason to hate on Halo 4.

Who's Christmas? Is that like the 4th of July or something?

If I ever get AIDS, I'm going to sleep with another AIDS person so my AIDS cancel each other out, or I'm going to make the AIDS I already have worse.

It's still 60 on Gamestop.com

Different Perspective

I paid $100 for limited edition. I just keep telling myself I'm helping the economy and let go of the jealousy.

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

Nope. Look at the other titles that come up with the search. It's the holidays, distributors want sales more than anything right now.

ACIII just went back up to $60. Last week it was sitting at $40 like Halo 4.

Halo 4 was on sale for $40 on Black Friday. So was Call of Duty Black Ops 2... a week and a half after it came out.

Sales events bro.

  • 12.13.2012 2:23 AM PDT

Halo 4 was 40 at my local gamestop, Blops 2 was 42... So yeah. Christmas.

I'm afraid that you are right, my friend. I haven't played it myself, but from what I've heard, I'm going to be disappointed in it. My husband gave me the okay to order it online, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

I bought it, I had fun. You should at least rent it before succumbing to the hate groups.

Gotta push those units! It's really common for these big AAA games to suddenly drop in price like $20 a few weeks after they come out, holiday sales or not.

The only games that don't drop in price for a while are usually first-party Nintendo games. New Super Mario Bros. is STILL full price and it came out like six years ago.
