(Will out-smart and insult the protagonist and keep coming back like an old-school comic book villain. Someone the reader resents.)
-Silent/Evil/Ruthless
(Doesn't say much, but would rather make a point with a bullet than with words. Someone the reader can't predict.
A mix between these two. Villain will start off as number one but when all cards are down he goes to number two.
I'm also a fan of when the villain hides in the background. The master manipulator. Usually the greater evil lurking in the shadows, behind what the hero perceives to be the real threat, pulling the strings.
