The series went from the Master Chief fighting in a war between two races to Star Wars and magic.

And 343bots really have the worst arguments. They always claim that the previous games were hated this much too and that we all have nostalgia goggles on even though they don't realize that this means their memory of the hate for it is very much skewed as well. Halo 2 and Halo 3 were VERY MUCH LIKED, this was shown through it leading the charts constantly in battle with CoD 4 (and being classics). Reach started the massive hate train and Reach STILL SUCKS. No, we don't think it is good now. 343bots please stop using these made up arguments to compensate for your lack of rebuttals. Halo 4 is on the same track as Reach, the numbers don't lie and the game isn't fun anymore or appealing.

And again, this trilogy's story is very stupid. The campaign is forgettable and the enemies (they even messed up the Covenant) aren't fun to go against. Maybe if they spent more time on a quality game rather than filling up my memory trying to make some bull-blam!- multiplayer story that isn't needed then the game would be considered good.

Someone's mad.

Eh, just ignore him. Let him say what he wants to say.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

I preferred it when the Forerunner technology was all a mystery and you were simply fighting on top of ancient, untold secrets. Made the game a bit more interesting.

After Halo 3 everyone started hating Halo. No matter how they change it you will still hate it.
I don't hate it. I like Halo 3, I like Halo: Reach, I like Halo 4.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Halo 2

VERY MUCH LIKED

Lol.

The Halo 4 story is a perversion of the Halo story line

How so?
You must be blind.

The didact wants to eliminate humans because he sees them as a threat to the galaxy's stability and well being and with what they're doing he might just be right. He couldnt just sit back and watch humans claim his race's technology and ruin the galaxy as the new keepers of the mantle. He had to do something.

He could've helped humanity properly ascend to the responsibility of the Mantle. But that wouldn't create more senseless drama would it?

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

I think the Reclaimer trilogy will become the definitive Halo experience. Yeah the first trilogy was about the Human-Covenant War, but this trilogy is focusing on the true nature of Halo's story, the Forerunners and possibly beyond.

No. It will not.

The Halo 4 story is a perversion of the Halo story line, simply created to drag out the series and milk it for more money.

I have a different opinion, but I am scared to disagree with a forum ninja.

The second a forerunner came out of a giant egg and started force choking the chief.

Any credibility you may have had for being a mod was lost with this sentence, sorry, but that was just really crudely put and showed a complete disregard for a lot of things that were really cool, particularly the Didact's monologue in that very scene being bar-none the best writing in the entire Halo series.

OP is right. No Harry Potter sequel can be as epic as the original story.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Humanity is not even aware of what the Mantle is so it's not like they could really wield the responsibility effectively.

I don't see the UNSC being all babysitter to the galaxy once they defeat the Didact. I'm interested in seeing how this is all going to play out.

Now that I think about it, the Forerunners are the last people to take advice from. Their stupidity is what caused the Flood to run rampant in the first place.

It's not really fair to think an entire trilogy is stupid when only 1 game is out.

Goat was famous. Irie was infamous. Gh0st was FaMaS.

My stats in Halol 4

Typical Waypoint post.
no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

In the opening cutscenes of Halo 4, I saw Spartan IIs in Spartan IV armor before Spartan IVs existed.

Have you heard what humans are doing so far to the other races? The covenant for once might just be good guys in halo 4. ONI is actually trying to bring about the end of the elites. And for you arbiter fans, well ONI was involved in assassination attempts at the arbiter. Jul Mdama realized this and is doing what he can to stop humans.

Yeah...so? If I may play Devil's Advocate here for a minute, why should we really care? The Elites viciously and without question committed genocide against humanity for over 20 years. They have demonstrated to be a dangerous people and are easily persuadable and deceived. Besides, there is a large part of the Elites in power who would like nothing more than to attack humanity but don't because they believe they lack the resources to finish the job.

ONI wants to keep a danger to humanity at bay and in place, why shouldn't they?
