Story time!
My parents discouraged the consumption of non-diet soda in the house because we drink soft drinks frequently and as anyone can tell you, that's a lot of empty calories. So my mom picks up what she thinks is a diet soda (and in fairness, when it was new it was marketed as such): Pepsi Max. Most people do wake up when exposed to the ingredients in that kind of energy drink, but it puts me right to sleep.
So when my brother and I got Halo 3, we each cracked one open and we started our campaign to finish the fight (until it continued a few years after it wore out the welcome mat and then dragged its ass across it like a dog who ate string). 8 hours later, I was near unconscious in my chair as my brother couldn't stop excitedly demanding that we keep playing and blow through the whole thing in one day.
In retrospect, I regret nothing. The point is, this guy doesn't play video games too often. But when he does, he goes like there's no tomorrow. He singlehandedly RRoD'd our Xbox on a 30ish hour run of Mass Effect 2.
