Need a decent source to believe this.

Ever heard of Google?
Hey I was on the BBC for a while with no trace of the story don't blame me if the OP can't give a trusted source.

Popsci has been around since 1872.

Its one of the longest running publications ever. I'm sorry you've never heard of it...
I have seen it but the name just shouts "PEPSI" so I don't trust it.

Also to the guy who editied my post, I normally post trusted sources or I don't post at all and the rare times I do post a strange source people ask the same as I.

Honestly I doubt it will hit another satellite, but it probably will crash into either debris or fall out of orbit if it that unstable.

It's not unstable, the US government is just talking crap and trying to discredit North-Korea's success.

Key

I really want North Korea to hit the wrong nerve with China one day, to get invaded, and to get completely assimilated into China. Or, at the very least, have China come in, totally cripple the country, and leave to watch them burn.

You mad?
How long have you been waiting for the appropriate thread to post that in?
A long time.
It was worth it, Mr Dawkins.

But they're not allowed to have those successes and so they deserve as much condemnation and discredidation as they can get.

Considering how much of the debris the US in LEO I doubt they would lie about a satellite being on an unstable course.

It's going to take out our satellites!

A communications disruption can mean only one thing... invasion.

Of course they are lying, I already proved it with the link I posted. It's a site that tracks satellites and North-Korea's satellite is doing just fine, it's certainly isn't ''tumbling out of control'' like the US officials said.

They made the claim 24 hours ago and the satellite has been in a steady orbit ever since.

If anything the bigger issue would be the debris from two satellites colliding instead of the actual collision.

I don't think you understand what tumbling out of control means. Satellites are suppose to have a stable orbit NK's satellite is probably spinning around in space which can slowly over time change its orbit. Looking at an online map that shows satellite paths doesn't show that much detail. So really your "proof" means absolutely nothing compared to what the US says is going on since they monitor thousands of pieces of debris in LEO along with satellites in order to prevent collisions. So if they say it isn't on a stable orbit it isn't.

Edit: Also regarding your edit just because a satellite is in space for a day doesn't mean its orbit is stable.

Like I edited just before you posted, it's been 24 hours since they made the ''tumbling out of control'' claim and it's still in a steady orbit with a constant speed and altitude.

So they were wrong, plain and simple.

Lol, of course it does if it has been flying its designated path for 24 hours straight with a constant speed and altitude.
