So much this. So many people think that the worth of a degree is the economic connotation of that degree, and not how the person uses it.

Seems like anything that's not engineering or business related is pretty risky.

That probably is just a course offering like you said and not a full major.

Hell, I took a Lord of the Rings class in college. Doesn't mean I majored in Tolkienology.

ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY CHROME.

Anything that isn't job related. If you go for any bull-blam!- like pyschology, or history, or anything your just -blam!- stupid. Go to a tech school and learn how to work on stuff, get into technology and electronics and robotics, don't go for anything stupid.

Psychology, sociology, criminology. Seriously what can you do with these I know so many people with them not using them. Include police foundations in there too.

Not everyone wants to be a programmer or an engineer. Plus, I wouldn't want to get a degree in something not what I like just so I can get a good job I don't like.

I hold a different view. I care about the lifestyle I can live outside of work rather than love of the job I do.

I'd pick up poop all day barehanded if it meant a raise - and I'd strive to be the best poop picker there ever was.

I'm awake 112 hours a week - work only constitutes 40-45 hours of that. If I have to do something less enjoyable to make sure the other 60+ hours are as awesome as possible, I'll do it.

He threw down a glove you made the mistake
Of picking it up now you're gone
The choosing of guns or fighting with swords
The choice of weapons is done
He'll tear you apart as soon as you start
You know you don't have a chance.

Philosophy.

Studying a degree isn't just about the subject matter though, it teaches you how to learn if you know what I mean? Anyone with a degree, even Philosophy, would have to have a certain level of base intelligence.

Still, all of the people I know who studied Philosophy at college regret their choice of subject and now work in utterly utterly unrelated fields.
