Subject: Do you like the Jurassic Park movies?

They have things I did not like, such as: Sarah was dumb in the second movie, in the novel she was brave and smart, the third one's story was mediocre....
But I still love the movies.

The first was good. The second sucked. The third was meh.

Everything you know is wrong.

Yes. The Lost World kicks ass. The third movie was atrocious. Horrible.

Foman is my favorite moderator. <3

When I first saw the original in theatres and saw that T-rex I just about pooped myself in awe and joy.

Inappropriate. Went a little to far with the butt hole tearing.

1st one was good
2nd one was over the top and ridiculous
3rd one was just boring

  • 12.13.2012 12:57 PM PDT

The first one was the best by far.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

Of course, as a kid i could watch the Lost World fifty times in a row. Now that i am older though the first one is better.

The first one was the greatest thing ever when I was a kid and I still love it.

  • 12.13.2012 1:02 PM PDT

First one was awesome!
I saw it in the theater when I was 13 and my heart was pounding when the T-Rex first escaped and harassed the kids!

Recon Number 54 -
If they are still looking, then while holding the snarl, I let drool start to drip from my mouth, I stand, curl my fingers into claws and with a hunched over crouch, I then make slow and deliberate steps towards them. When I get close enough, I let them hear my agonized and gasping growls and then, if they continue to stare, when I get within arm's reach? I kiss them on the nose, and run away giggling.

I love all of them.

I used to be indecisive, but now i'm not sure.

I loved the first movie. I even had the toy of the T Rex and that toy came with the Lawyer in the bathroom stall.

I didn't much care for the uh, um, Jeff Goldblum centric sequel.
I saw the 3rd movie at the cinemas, it lost some of the magic of the originals and was kind of boring at times.

  • 12.13.2012 1:11 PM PDT

Yeah they were good!

  • 12.13.2012 1:19 PM PDT

Who am I?

mah twitter

The first one, yeah.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

When I was little, the scene with the skeleton popping down from the tree with the parachute scared me a ton.

play for keeps

I think you mean THE Jurassic Park movie.

  • 12.13.2012 1:23 PM PDT

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

The first was very good, the second was entertaining but in more of a "popcorn movie" kind of way. The third was fun, but I found it to be the "dumbest" of three.

The first was amazing, the second one was an abomination, and the third was ok.

I'm not sure if I want to watch them again. I don't want to ruin my childhood memories like I did with Space Jam.

I do not want to stop asking. I do not ask to stop wanting.

YES!

First is my favorite movie/novel of all time. After watching it when I was like two, I just got on this extreme paleontological craze that hasn't stopped yet. 11/10 movie.

Second was okay to good. The action sequences were really well done, but some of the deviations from the book were just stupid. 6/10 movie (6 from me is not a bad movie).

Third was absolutely horrific. Though I have lots of memories with it, and I don't regret seeing it, I can't say that I liked it at all. ESPECIALLY the T. Rex vs. Spinosaurus scene. Not just that it was completely inaccurate (physiologically and behaviourally), but that it was basically pissing on the star of the series. Around a 5/10 from me.

Though it's deteriorated quite a bit, the series is still my favorite of all time in any medium. I just have too many memories attached to it, and my paleontology background means that I refuse to leave the franchise. Bring on Jurassic Park 4. No matter how terrible it might be.

¬.¬

Jurassic Park was the first movie I went to watch at a cinema, and despite having seen it several times since, I could probably watch it again right now and still enjoy it.

In fact, I think I will...

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

When I was a child I thought they were cool. Not so much now.
