Subject: Answer some remaining Halo 3 campaign questions for me?

Why don't we just share the hill?

I have many questions that I would like to be answered, and just a few points that I wish I saw. But overall the game was really REALLY great.

*The last level, Halo, was that a remake of installation 04 and was that installation being created?
*Why did the flood help Master Chief for like a quarter of a mission?
*The ark can create other installations?
*Humans are related to Forerunners?
*Why did they fire the last halo, did that get rid of the flood somehow?

Points I wish I saw:

-Explanation to the covenant after truth died
-Explanation of the flood.

This is all explained in the cutscenes...

Ark is what created the 7 rings.
Installation 04B was a re-make of the one destroyed in Halo CE.
Gravemind didn't want Truth in charge, so he aided for a while.

-blam!-, OP. Do you pay attention to anything? Google it

The most helpful guys for this sort of thing reside in the Universe forum

Maybe you should ask them.

*Why did the flood help Master Chief for like a quarter of a mission?

*The last level, Halo, was that a remake of installation 04 and was that installation being created?

The remains of installation 04 were being repaired and recreated.
*Why did the flood help Master Chief for like a quarter of a mission?
the Covenant wanted to fire the Halo rings. This would result in starving the Flood. Being the collective mind of the Flood, Gravemind did not want this to happen. It formed an alliance with Arby n Chief believing it could easily defeat them after it had defeated the Covenant.
*The ark can create other installations?
I do not think so. I may be wrong, as I have not played Campaign in a couple years.
*Humans are related to Forerunners?
Not quite. Humans, like all other life in the galaxy, were seeded by the Forerunners prior to activating the Halo Array.
*Why did they fire the last halo, did that get rid of the flood somehow?
That would keep the Gravemind from forming a new "home" for the Flood and keep the universe from blowing up.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

*The last level, Halo, was that a remake of installation 04 and was that installation being created?

Yes, the Ark is what created the Halos. After Installation 04 was destroyed in halo CE, the Ark started to create a replacement.

*Why did the flood help Master Chief for like a quarter of a mission?

Because they needed to stop the Halos from firing, you form a temporary truce because (as the Gravemind says in Halo 2) "this Ring shall make us brothers". It's the one point that they share the same goal, and because Truth had made Johnson start up the firing sequence they had to move quickly. Halos fire, all life in the galaxy dies, meaning the Flood starve, so the Gravemind manipulated John and Thel to help him.

*The ark can create other installations?

Refer to my first point.

*Humans are related to Forerunners?

Somewhat.

Ten million years ago, the Precursors created humanity and the Forerunners - at this time, they were the exact same race, but were eventually split. The Librarian reveals in Halo 3's Terminals that she believes humanity to be special, which is expanded in Halo 4 where it's revealed that she has been indirectly nurturing humanity to fulfil a specific purpose in the future. She wants humanity to attain the Mantle (guardianship over life in the galaxy), and in so doing this allows humanity to use Forerunner technology.

Also, the word 'Forerunner' is just a title, it's not actually the name of the race we know as Forerunners. They saw themselves as just another stage in the universe and they would eventually pass the Mantle down to another race, thus humanity are the new Forerunners.

*Why did they fire the last halo, did that get rid of the flood somehow?

"The Ark is out of range of all the active Installations." ~ 343 Guilty Spark

The Gravemind dedicated all his forces to taking the Ark and the Halo, by firing it, Cortana's solution, they could wipe out the Flood without having to activate the other Halos.

"It is the cruelest fate, to have written words that meant well and see them made wicked and unwise. What was meant to encourage life, used instead to justify taking it."

The last level, Halo, was that a remake of installation 04 and was that installation being created?
It was a replica, a replacement for the ring John destroyed in Halo CE. And it was incomplete.
Why did the flood help Master Chief for like a quarter of a mission?
The Flood needed the Covenant leaderless in order to take control of the Ark. Plus, they didn't want the Halo rings fired.
The ark can create other installations?
Obviously, yes.
Humans are related to Forerunners?
No.
Why did they fire the last halo, did that get rid of the flood somehow?
Firing the Halo ring while it was under construction caused the entire thing to self-destruct, destroying the Ark and the Flood with it.

NON FACET NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERNĒ¢UM

I betting you'd be able to get better explanations on the Halo Wiki page, or at least very detailed ones.

Stop skipping the cutscenes!

I know its hard to think past what you're going to shoot at next, and I understand that plot and cutscene confuse and frustrate you, but please, pay attention to the goddamn game.

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

1. Yes
2. To stop Truth, they had a common goal and Gravemind was desperate
3. The ark is a Halo Factory
4. Possibly distantly
5. They fired a tactical pulse to eliminate the local flood infestation and destroy installations 00 (The Ark) and 04 B
