But then I think to myself, maybe If I did tell them why, it would actually encourage them to lose weight and improve their appearance.
Yes, women whom you have "rejected" should totally change their lifestyles to meet your personal notions of beauty. That was put a little more dramatic than I stated it in my post. I'm just saying, after being rejected for being in their current state, they would think to better themselves and not get rejected as much. But hey, it's their life not mine.Like I said, overweight people (and women in particular) are well-aware of the anti-fat cultural bias in America. One more voice confirming that is almost certainly not going to help them, and is much more likely to make them lose self-esteem, which is pretty much antithetical to any constructive ends, should they decide to change their body.I wouldn't necessarily say in all cases that is true, because it's not. I know of a few girls that were overweight once upon a time, and were tired of being viewed as something gross and repulsive to society and boys. They decided to make a change for the better and got into working out. One girl didn't stick with it and she's still fat, the other girls made some drastic changes and are very good looking now. I'm just saying, maybe all they need is a little extra push, besides what society tells them already.
