What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Well, I am not making the same mistake like I did with Halo 4 so I am not buying it.

So... you didn't watch the video I take it? Because everything in the video is a complete joke... walking off rooftops with no fall damage or anything, using lancer and shotgun with the boomshield, new control scheme where you press Y to change weapons, sticking someone with a frag by just throwing it at them from a distance...

All I'm seeing right now is so much hyperbole that we need to start issuing hunting licenses on it.

Umm... everything I mentioned was in the video. I take it you like these changes then?

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

The uploader says that DBNO is only absent in FFA.

Now if only that was the only problem with Judgement.

That was before the developer's tweet today.

Right now I'm ambivalent. This is a game still in development.

I understand why they are doing what they are doing: To create a faster paced Gears. And for the love of god, stop saying that every time a game ups the pace, they are CoDifying it. I'm not particularly fond of them removing DBNO because I think it's one of the things that gives Gears it's flavor but it's removal is not the end of the world.

They are experimenting, taking an existing recipe, removing X and adding Y and seeing if the new combination works. Because as much as the butthurt vocal minority on the internet clamors for everything to be the -blam!- same, day in and day out, that is a recipe for disaster. And what's more, they are experimenting with a spin off. This isn't Gears 4, this is Gears: Judgement. Just like how Reach wasn't H4.

The thing is Gears really doesn't need to be faster pace. If anything what they are doing is making the game easier.

There's a lot of things we don't need. AAA graphics and music being first on the list.

And read my edit: They are experimenting. Seeing if this new creation works. Because staying still, doing the same thing over and over again is a recipe for franchise death.

I can see they are experimenting, but a lot of it is pointless and just isn't needed in Gears. What they are doing is making the game easier as I already mentioned by making weapons easier to pick up and eliminating the risks involved with helping teammates. It is all to make the game open to the casual crowd which is a more common trend. It isn't like you live forever in Gears rounds last a very short period of time and people already die in a few shots.

I just think that no DBNO means no executions, no meatshields, no Execution gametype... I mean the game might be fun at least for FFA, but it looks like I would just get bored of it for it being so dumbed down. Kind of glad the game won't replace Gears 3 now.

No. It has a point.

and just isn't needed in Gears.
...

We don't need a lot of things in video games...

Just remaking Gears 3 over and over again because new additions, new changes to the formula "aren't needed" is a bad idea.

It's why CoD is getting growing backlash against it. The running joke is that each new game is a $60 expansion pack.

Ok what is the point other than experimenting. Give me a good reason to change things that have been in the game since Gears 1 for no reason other than to change it. Hell at least changes in Gears 2 and 3 had some reason if not balance or additional weapons to diversify the gameplay. Though to remove DBNO and to make the game overall easier and less strategic is just a pointless thing to do. Unless you are going after the fame that CoD has and really that is the best comparison for casualization of gameplay that has been happening over the years.

Edit: As for your edit they have done less to improve Gears with Judgement than that have with any other game in the series.

Ok what is the point

To avoid franchise death from being the same game with a different number. To avoid being an overpriced expansion pack/DLC.

To avoid being what CoD is.

Though to remove DBNO and to make the game overall easier
The faster speed shifts some of the skill requirements to reaction speed. But that does not make the game easier.

less strategic
I fail to see how.

Gears has always had terrible multiplayer.

It's less strategic because now people just die instead of going down... teammates can't help you up. It's less of a team game now, rifle spam will be worse than it ever was.

Yet the game has done less to improve on the franchise than Gears 2 and 3. It has added what like 3-4 new weapons, has pretty much the same graphics, has added 2 meh gametypes at best that more or less copy off existing gametypes, and has takeout some of the classic Gears gameplay. Though I guess some people will be happy to see FFA, but overall there is less change now than there has been in the past.

Faster reaction speed lol you misunderstand what I meant. People still die at the same rate from what I have seen the only thing that has changed is being less vulnerable by picking up weapons faster and no DBNO.
I fail to see how.
If you pick up weapons extremely fast and don't have to pick up teammates that means there is less strategy involved.

By how much is my next question.

Your hyperbole implies that since DBNO is being removed, Judgement isn't a team based game at all.

rifle spam will be worse than it ever was.
You say that like it's a bad thing.

Gears orbiting around the Gnasher was a horrible gameplay experience.
