Why does everything that happens to Halo 4 need a thread marked "Death of Halo"?

Guess what, a month of release prices can simply drop for a certain amount of time.
Because this doesn't happen with every other game. This is something expected with ME3's multiplayer which was not too hyped up. Halo 4 is multiplayer. The play count is dropping and they want sales. Price drop.

Exactly. Simple marketing reaction for a dropping player-count (to 90000 I might add). Not a sign for the "death of Halo".

It simply has a understandably hard time competing with a lot of multiplatform AAA-titles this time of the year.

I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

Even Reach held it's own better than this. Even Mass Effect 3 held it's price for longer than this.

It means Halo 5 needs to be really good.

This is true. They need to make the multiplayer from meh to something amazing. Chances seem slim.

Not much to say on the campaign, they did a good job. Here's hoping Chief takes apart ONI and delves into their treachery in the next installment.

That is actually pretty smart of MS. They're hitting the $39.99 price mark while Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is hitting the $49.99 mark for the holidays. The lower price will give them an extra appeal or perhaps persuade parents and the like to pick up both.
