I dunno man. It IS pretty late. I'll give myself a 3.5/10 and call it a day. Three points for getting someone to feed me, the half because I need to boost my self-esteem.
You're giving yourself credit where it's certainly not do. That was probably the most forced attempt at trolling ever. You're bad and you should feel bad.

OT: I was really confused as to why people hated the 48 fps version. Originally I though "Isn't a higher framerate always good?" but it's really not according to some. Motion blur is a common cinematic device and with the high framerate it's nonexistent and the film just doesn't feel like a movie. At least that's what I heard. I hate LotR so I won't be seeing this anyways, though the frame rate thing is interesting to me.

The highest reward for a man's toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes by it.

Awesome, amazing, epic, hilarious, heartfelt, gorgeous, I could go on for a while with the adjectives to describe how much I loved going back to Middle Earth.

I'm really confused why critics claim the movie takes a while to start... Its very similar to the Fellowship of the Ring. You get the back story, then spend a good amount of time introducing characters in the Shire.

Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

The Hobbit doesn't come out until Decem-

Holy -blam!-, where did my year go?

Wake me, when you need me.

I saw it with a few friends, it was amazing. Though, I kinda wish Howard Shore didn't return to do the score, I personally would have loved to hear James Horner or James Newton Howard do it.

  • 12.14.2012 4:17 AM PDT

Local paper gave it a 2.5/4, said the 48fps looked odd and their was "too much walking". Reading that I knew I could instantly disregard the review because people said the same thing about Fellowship.

That said I just finished re-reading the book and will be seeing the film tonight in 24fps 3D.

edit: Why would you want anyone else to do the score? Having someone else do it would be like someone else do the score for Star Wars.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Seeing it a week today on my one year anniversary with my girlfriend.

Loved it. Very surprised to see it was still very good, although I can say I'm not a huge fan of the main enemy's design is...whatever his name is...

Foman is my favorite moderator. <3

I'll probably see it tomorrow, drag my wife along.

Apparently she didn't enjoy the LOTR trilogy and slept through most of it, which I find highly offensive and almost grounds for divorce.

The LoTR movies aren't my favourites (though the first one is a very good film) so I'll wait till I can see it for free.

I agree that all presidents should serve 2 terms. 1 in office and 1 in prison

I saw it Wednesday night as part of a sneak peek screening. It was pretty awesome, a few parts had my stomach feeling a little car sick from the 3D combined with long sight shots.

Saw it only problem I had was the over the top action scenes (not in a good way) and the over-use of CGI. Basically in place of practical effects all the orcs are pretty much cgi, looking really unrealistic. Gotta say though the Riddles in the Dark scene was amazing.

All Retards are Retarded...

You Catch My Drift??????????

I got to go read the Hobbit again. I read it in 8th grade and I recall almost nothing.

How was the 3D? I normally despise 3D movies because the 3D usually sucks and is non-existant.
