Go away, you have no argument here except USA is better.
Same could be said about you. I've been defending Murica with facts. While you still defend the EU due rampant patriotism.

I even gave you facts and you ignore them.Yeah, your "facts" say that the EU's navy is bigger than the US navy which is a huge load of crap.

lol @ your sources.

ITT: People compare the USA (a country) to Europe (a continent).

The fact that a country can even be comparable to an entire continent is impressive in itself, people, so even if Europe is "better," that's hardly an accomplishment.

Also, this reminds of Jon Stewart talking about the Eurozone a few months ago and how "Seventy years after WWII, Germany is taking over Europe."
Dude that 1 country is the size of a damn continent so yes you can compare, because if you have a look Europe as a combined state would still be smaller than the USA.

So HA

By your logic, Russia, whcih takes up around 10%of the world's landmass, is "better" than Europe and the USA, which we all know is not true.

Idiot.
What are you talking about?

America is larger than Europe which is why it is normally involved in USA vs Europe threads.

The fact of the matter is Europe as a single state which would then make the threads 1 nation vs another nation. Europe will be the strongest continent/nation on earth.

Russia is weak against both nations its size has nothing to do with it.

What I was talking about was that your first point was entirely about size, which is a very poor indicator of wealth/power/etc.

Some statistics here, don't know if they're accurate:

Air Forces
Naval Forces
Ground Forces

Pretty sure they're correct.

However, the numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. For example, the Naval stats don't show the type of ships, number of said ships, and what they are capabale of (Armament, etc)

Contrary to American belief, bigger isn't better.
It's funny Europe is one of the smallest continents and yet combined its the most powerful and important continent than any other.

Great things come in small packages.
I guess you Europeans have to feel some sense of pride , even if it requires using irrelevant factors to prove you're "better". "Well, we can't even touch the USA alone so let's imagine if all or Europe was combined . Ha, take that silly 'mericans!"

Dear Floodians:

A Girl thread a day keeps the ladies at bay and gets us banned, the lonely single way.

Only Americans in this thread would believe something like the USE could happen.

All the European countries are too different in terms of culture and politics. The only thing that can happen is a financial union because that's basically what the EU is at the moment.

Just an example: Belgium is probably the most central nation of Europe and probably around the 10th the size of an average US state. There's a bigger chance of Belgium splitting up in two or more countries in the next decade because of language issues than the whole of EU forming one giant superstate.

It's a known fact that modern navies are centered around power projection, and nothing projects power better than an aircraft carrier. The US has at least ten active supercarriers, while no other country currently has even one and UK and France each have just begin construction on their first ones, both which are smaller in tonnage than American supercarriers. I think America's nuclear submarine fleet is pretty high in numbers, but I've yet to found citable data to that (which is understandable because how secret nuclear submarines tend to be)

It's not turning into a unitary state like you're making it out to be. A fully integrated European Union will look like a highly decentralized federalist country.

Again, the stats arn't descriptive enough to come to any conclusion other than army, navy, and air force sizes. I'm not saying the US could defeat the rest of the world, but these numbers really don't prove much of anything.

Germany should just take over all of Europe. They are pretty much the only functioning Euro-using country.

There are 4 countries in the Eurozone with an AAA credit rating; Germany, Finland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

That picture really annoys me. Just the things they chose as their examples are silly. Churchill was not a great leader, he was an idiot and a drunk.

I would truly find it interesting to see countries like France enter a European super state despite their fervent national history and identity; even Charles de Gaulle pulled France out of NATO because his country was not a leader in it.
