I mean this.

You can argue gun control, but that doesn't address the true and real problem. Incidents like today's would happen with or without guns. Sure, the body count would be lower, but an incident would have still happened.

We have become a cold and uncaring people. We do our best to avoid contact, and look to take no responsibility for our own actions. We feel entitled to things we do not earn, and get angry and resentful when we don't get what we want.

Now, we want a fix. A cute thing we can put on a bumper sticker, a cop out like a shirt or rubber bracelet.

Be good to one another. Strike up a conversation with a stranger and make a connection. Let's end this path we are on. Yeah, its awkward, but by fixing what's really wrong will we prevent tragedies like today.
this is my whole opinion on this tragedy,it seems to be the "well what do I get?" mentality is growing rampant

now last year literally about this time me and my family bought Christmas presents for the neighbors family because they had just moved up from being the more sketch side of Orlando and only had enough money for food and rent.

I swear this is true I told that to the people at work and the first thing someone says to me is "-blam!- man that was a bad idea spending money on people you just met"

people just need to stop "investing" in people and start believing in them again.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

This is what happens when you allow anybody to buy a gun.

It isn't a gun issue it's a mental health one.

If the requirements to get a gun would be more strict, there would probably be less of those incidents where someone acted on impulse and pulled out his firearm.
There are stories where someone just pissed off the wrong guy and paid a high price for it. This is why I don't like your gun laws, but it's my opinion. I don't live there so I don't really have a right to say "How it should be".

And yeah, banning guns wouldn't make criminals keep their guns, but most of the times on these shooting incidents, these people don't have criminal background.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

You know, Calhoun conducted an experiment in the 60's with mouses.
He created an utopia for them, the results were catastrophic.
...Among the aberrations in behavior were the following: expulsion of young before weaning was complete, wounding of young, inability of dominant males to maintain the defense of their territory and females, aggressive behavior of females, passivity of non-dominant males with increased attacks on each other which were not defended against. After day 600 the social breakdown continued and the population declined toward extinction. During this period females ceased to reproduce. Their male counterparts withdrew completely, never engaging in courtship or fighting. They ate, drank, slept, and groomed themselves all solitary pursuits. Sleek, healthy coats and an absence of scars characterized these males. They were dubbed "the beautiful ones".
The conclusions drawn from this experiment were that when all available space is taken and all social roles filled, competition and the stresses experienced by the individuals will result in a total breakdown in complex social behaviors, ultimately resulting in the demise of the population.
Calhoun saw the fate of the population of mice as a metaphor for the potential fate of man. He characterized the social breakdown as a "second death"...

The idea that gun control is the only method is dangerous. At least to the rights that US citizens have become accustomed.

The right to bear arms came about when there was still a very real threat of England invading again.

Living 100 years in the past isn't something to be proud about.
its 200 and the threat was the own government, George Washington was even asked if he wanted to establish the us as a monarchy with him as king.

That is the kind of attitude that got obama reelected. I'm done caring about YOUR problems.

If guns were removed from the US and the government focused on it's people instead of a military that isn't needed right now then maybe violence would be much lower. Look at us, Canada. We rarely have any murders here. Why? We focus on internal affairs and have no guns. Guns don't protect anyone, they just cause problems. Of course the 'MURICA types that are all "My country is the best because I can defend myself here," prevent guns from getting removed from the country.
You're telling me that a country with 30 million people has less crime than one with 300 million people? No way.

Humans are violent pathetic creatures who have repeated the same mistakes for thousands of years. Nothing is going to change anytime soon - at least not in our lifetime.

Now That's What I Call Edgy
