The Black Chapter

Yes, let's lose all our right and allow the government to potentially have absolute control over a nation, with no chance for those citizens to fight back. It happens in other countries today, so yes, it's still relevant.
You actually think your citizens will stand a chance against your military? Man, you should be campaigning for bomb and missile rights instead.

Pretty much this. The likelihood of a tyrannous government in the US is really rather low, but should it happen and revolution occur, either the military stays loyal and having guns will just lead to hundreds of thousands of deaths to the civilian population, or the military defects and the government collapses. A modern military really isn't going to be defeated by ragtag militias of people who know how to shoot a paper target or a deer.

Taking away the 2nd Amendment takes away our ability to fight back against our government if absolutely necessary, which was stated somewhere in the Constitution...
Do you really think that's still relevant today?
Completely

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

You guys fall for the most obvious Trolls....

Every time there is a shooting people rage about guns saying they are evil.

Guns are not the problem, people are the problem.

If we take away guns, people will use other weapons if they want to hard others. You can't stop every threat but we can do our best to prepare for it.

So you went to the trouble of clicking on my profile, either to send a group invite or hate message, or to check my Halo stats and call me a BK. I like Peanut Butter Waffles.

Look: when the founding fathers wrote the 2nd amendment, they were still using muskets. No semi-auto or auto weapons, not even rifles. No efficient hand guns either. They would've never dreamed of something so good at killing.

+1 for pro-gun.

Read this before you say anything against gun ownership.

Republicans are for less gun control and democrats are for more? Not sure if serious.

Clearly 99% of you do not understand the importance of the second amendments and how it is supposed to help defend our rights.

It is usually countries like China and North Korea that have heavy gun control because their citizens have no way to fight back or defend their rights against a tyrannical regime.
you're such a -blam!- idiot
Guns give citizens the ability to defend themselves need be and defend their rights.

Think, do you notice how countries like China, North Korea, Britain all have strict gun control laws.
They really don't do that anymore, you couldn't fight a tyrannical regime in the modern day. I live in one of the most restrictive countries on gun laws in the world, and we're a hell of a lot better off than you guys.

Guns protect your rights? You're going to have to do better than that, because they just don't. You're like an impressionable child bleating what his daddy told him.

How many people do you know (of) that go hunting with handguns?

I know 6 people that have gone hunting with a handgun.

or commit massacres with hunting rifles?
Zero

I'm fine with people who go hunting with guns or play shooting sports, the problem is with the guns that are supposed that are supposed to be used for defense(a very broad and foggy term when used by pro guns people).
That's not a complete sentence.

And i'm sure that the hundred or so incidents that haven't been reported completely justify owning guns for "protection"
Lol dude you are so full of it. Why don't you get rid of your pride for just a second and think logically here. Think... do you honestly believe that only a few hundred people in the ENTIRE history of the US of A have ever used guns for self-defense? Do you honestly believe that the mass media is going to report every single incident of self-defense? Why is this such a hard concept for you to understand?

Guns are not the problem, people are the problem.
They're both a problem, you can't just say "well people are the greater evil, so guns being the lesser evil aren't worth complaining about, did i mention FREEDOM!?!"

  • 12.14.2012 5:52 PM PDT

Exactly. Every time there's a shoot out, we get many different threads every day whining and complaining about gun laws, it's so easy to pick at people when the wounds are fresh. It's such obvious flame bait during this time. If this thread was made when there wasn't a shooting recently, the OP probably could be more credible, but when The Flood is this predictable during a shooting, it's hard to to find these threads legitimate.

Sure kid go right ahead; just be careful the government has nukes, satellites, tanks, submarines, fighter jets, smart-bombs, drones, SIGNIT, intel, and most importantly more resources and manpower than those crazy toothless meth head militias in the backwaters of Alabama.

idiot
