If people honestly think that the US military could have any conceivable chance of turning on its people than what the -blam!-. It's composed of people just like you with families and loved ones. You think if they received an order to attack their own country they'd even get two steps towards making it happen?
Lol.
Please.
What was the military in -blam!- Germany composed of? Were they robots?
The military does what it is told. The -blam!- party's regime was extremely idealogical and despite what people may think, a lot of Germans thought it was the right thing to do at the time. Hence why there was such a massive de-blam!-fication and guilt-tripping propaganda project put in place by the US and the UK after the war ended to try and wake the Germans up to what they had actually achieved.Yeah, people forget Hitler was actually elected to office. That meant that people had to share his views. He was a legitimate leader in the eyes of the world until he invaded Poland.
People neglect to realize that to the Germans, Jews weren't even human. They segregated an entire sect of the population and told the SS, "If you kill them, you'll help your kinsman." That's why they did it.
You can't dehumanize your entire population, because the root basis of service for most soldiers is to protect their country's population. Remove that, there is no reason to fight.
That's the difference.
