I've been playing Halo since 2002. My earliest memories include hiding at the shotgun window on Damnation and killing my dad with grenades while playing co-op on Pillar of Autumn.

How does selling 4+ million copies under 24 hours a failure?

/logic

Barely being able to hold 100k daily is not a failure?

/mindless fanboy logic

That's bad how? Halo 3 was even less.

>implying I don't know Halo 3 was a failure too

It barely had 100k on its best weeks.

And how the -blam!- is over 100k players a failure? 95% of other games could only dream of getting even close to that number.

Of the, what, several million people that bought each game there's only 100k people that bother to play it at any given time? That's a bad game.

Assassin's Creed 3 was 24.99 about a month after launch, and that game is better than Halo 4. I don't get your point.

It only sold 3.2 million in America over the month of November. That's less than Halo:Reach or Halo 3.

There is no way it sold 4 million day one.

Yep, bad game.

Halo 4 is played #2 on LIVE, with #3 being FIFA. Blops daily is almost a million unique users, FIFA is about 400k. Halo 4 is therefore between 400k-1million unique users per day.

/actual assumption
No, it's a 100k a day

/true logic

Are you implying that anyone actually gives a rat's ass about a HALO campaign after what we got in Halo 2? Yeah, right.

At the point of Halo 3's release there were 20 million xbox 360s in the wild. At Halo 4's release there were 70 million xbox 360s in the wild.

Halo 4 can't match against Halo 3's stats and it has a potential of 3.5x the number of customers.

Halo 4 has competition amongst countless other games now, where Halo 3 didn't and yet peaked at 300,000 people. Halo 4, having 100,000 players at any given time, is freaking incredible, especially given what time of the year it is.

Also:

So Call of Duty is the greatest game ever then?

Your post reeks of hater.

Yeah, I'm so butthurt that the franchise I love still get's millions of players playing it. Yep, nice logic, OP.

Guys, guys #2 on Live, a good first day of sales, and retailers making sales to bring in more revenue means Halo 4 is dead forever. What do you not understand?!?!?!

Please do not send me group invites.

$50 says that you'll see a big surge in player population after Christmas.

Yes there are people who do just that and want to see what happens after Halo 3.

The population can barely keep above 100k a month after it's release and that's incredible? How can you deny that the game is failing?

Your post reeks of fanboy.

I'm sick and tired of all these people whining about the game being "dead" when there are still almost 100,000 people playing per day. Now I'm beginning to see why PC elitists hate console players so much: They are a bunch of whiny brats.
