Hope your gun makes you feel like a real man OP... Mass shootings are a small price to pay for your identity as a tough manly man who can shoot his way out of trouble.
Yessir!

If my immediate life is on the line, and the only way to protect myself is a firearm, which I am only able to purchase at the expense of innocents who may be caught in a madman's barrage when he uses his legally/illegally attained firearm, then hell yes that is a small price to pay.

Dear Floodians:

A Girl thread a day keeps the ladies at bay and gets us banned, the lonely single way.

In my country, getting shot gets you on the national news. Makes me feel safer to live here with gun laws than in the USA.

The first thing that came up in my mind when I read about the shooting was "Again?". That pretty much sums it up...

And once again, another Canuck who thinks he know's what he's talking about when it comes to problems in the US.

there wont be anything to keep them with democracy

we need to fix the people not the amount of guns

Indeed. Even if guns were banned, criminals would just obtain them illegally.

We have next to no gun crime here in the UK, the occasional shooting with a handgun down in London or something.
I beg to defer

While gun-related deaths were down, from 55 to 49, the number of slight injuries, threats and non-injury incidents linked to guns increased.

The incidence of homicides committed with a firearm in the US is much greater than most other advanced countries. In the United States in 2009 United Nations statistics record 3.0 intentional homicides committed with a firearm per 100,000 inhabitants; for comparison, the figure for the United Kingdom, with very restrictive firearm laws (handguns are totally prohibited, for example) was 0.07, about 40 times lower, and for Germany 0.2

Firearm - In 2007, 31,224 persons died from firearm injuries in the
United States, accounting for 17.1 percent of all injury
deaths that year. Firearm suicide at 55.6 percent and homicide at
40.5 percent were the two major component causes of all firearm injury
deaths in 2007

Its fair to say that '49' would count as next to nothing compared to 31,224.

I want to have a gun because if a bad guy has gun then me a good guy will have a fighting chance.

But what if a good guy has a gun and a bad guy is unarmed? What if the good guy is actually the bad guy?

Even if guns are banned, people will still get guns. It will never end...

The more and more of these shootings occur, the more of a reason for the Gov. to ban the right.

Exactly, because criminals will obey the gun ban, right?

People are going to get guns anyway if their criminals. They wouldn't worry about the law.

Yes there still would be ways, but it would make it a little harder for them. The weapons this asshat used are his mothers guns. If guns were banned then this shooting could have been prevented.

And alot harder for a law abiding citizen to defend their home.
