Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

Uhh what would they have to offer???

"Here.. uhh kids and family.. and school. Have this complimentary gift bags... umm filled with... video games and other merch??"

That would go over OH SO well. Since some media are AGAIN blaming violent video games for this. Which is false.

Bungie isn't a charity, it's a game developer, that's why there are groups like the American/British red coss ect. :)

Agreed!

They would do it for the families that had their kid killed in the shooting, not to promote their game.

It's a nice thought, OP, but this isn't like a natural disaster or other occasions where Bungie has sent money or aid. While the loss for the affected families has been tremendous, I don't think that it money or supplies would really help in this situation.

And I agree that if they were to do it anyway, it should not be in order to promote a new video game.

I agree with this. With a natural disaster, such as the Tsunami in Japan which Bungie donated to, donations can help rebuild destroyed homes, etc. Money donated to this terrible massacre doesn't really do all that much... it can not bring back the loved ones that you lost. No amount of money can heal that wound or fill that void that will always be there.

And using it to promote a new product would just be terrible motive.

For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

Nothing stopping you from doing this yourself OP. I know the parents of one of the victims are asking for donations.

Donate money, send aid, etc.? It would be good karma and good publicity for Destiny.

No. To put it simply, the loss of human life (in this case a child) can't be bought from a family. Say Bungie gave each family $1,000,000. That would be the equivalent of trying to buy away their sadness, it just isn't appropriate for this situation.

Not to mention, promoting a violent video game (or any video game) around a mass shooting of children? How on earth is that good publicity? That would be one of the slimiest, most scummy things I can think of to base your publicity around.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

We should just let them be. Publicity is not what they want right now.

  • 12.16.2012 12:46 PM PDT

No, they shouldn't do squat about it. People die, time to move on.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Children were killed and you think it's a good time to promote a video game?

good publicity for Destiny.

This and
the only reason Bungie would help is because they totally care, they wouldn't make it about a video game. Bungie in my opinion is way above doing something like that.
