IIRC UK has gun crimes almost every day.
yes but 'gun crimes' involves threats and incidents where the weapon wasn't discharged. Even if you include these, you get something like 10,000 incidents a year (if the 28 incidents a day stat is to be believed), and roughly <50 deaths.
Contrast that with ~35,000+ deaths in the US annually directly related to firearms, cut out the 55% suicides and you still have around 15,000 deaths (so 300 times as many homicides for a population about five times larger)
