Get a Dell.

Screw that. Build your own.

Generally a "gaming computer" can perform other tasks. Like how I use mine for computer science projects for compiling and virtualization.

I play halo 3 for enjoyment. I've noticed this game and community has changed alot since it's release.

Good:

Exclusives
Graphics
Steam
Easy access desktop
Keyboard/mouse (preference)

Bad:

Non-exclusives
Usually one player per system

If you can get the money, yes.

This is a good cheap build for $600, not including mouse, keyboard, monitor, or operating system, etc. It could run skyrim pretty good.

Bad thing is I already have a computer that does everything that I need besides gaming. I didn't think that I'd ever have even a little bit of interest in PC gaming.

Then buy a decent graphics card and stick it in your other computer.

I had a very similar thing, only I threw a 14 story building out of a pool and hit a kid on a paper aeroplane.

The Flood is just this awesome :D

There is virtually no bad thing about PC gaming besides bad PC ports from consoles. PCs are great investments in the long run. You can spend 800-1000 at first and then spend another hundred or so every 2-3 years upgrading if you need to. Consoles are just for people who don't have much cash and want to play video games.

Also, indie library.

They are technically better as far as performance and stuff goes pretty much all the time.

It really depends on what kinda games you're into honestly. If you're really into Japanese titles for example, then there's not much of a reason to invest in one. If you're big on WRPG, FPS, or RTS titles, then you should just play on PC.

I play a lot of Japanese action and fighting games that just aren't on PC, so that's why I'm a console guy.

I dunno man, I only know one guy who really calls himself a PC gamer and he definitely suffers from it.

Lot's of people neglect their posture while playing games.

Maybe they're all idiots, I haven't spoken to enough of them to make that judgement.

My posture is fine. I'm on my PC most of the time.

I can't, I have a Mac.

Go ahead and judge me, but I know why I have it.

Seriously though, don't judge me for the reason that I have it. I just have it, and that is where this ends.

EDIT: I was just talking about it being good for the stuff I do.
There's still some games that you can play on a Mac, especially now that Steam works.

Having to upgrade your pc all the time for newer games where with a console you get better graphics as the years go on with zero hardware upgrades.
