"Ignorance is a plague."

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

If I try to play them then my Mac just overheats within 5 minutes and the FPS rate goes down the drain.

Well then you're out of luck.

I can't, I have a Mac.

Go ahead and judge me, but I know why I have it.

Seriously though, don't judge me for the reason that I have it. I just have it, and that is where this ends.

EDIT: I was just talking about it being good for the stuff I do.

I smell shame; as well you should be.

Having to upgrade your pc all the time for newer games where with a console you get better graphics as the years go on with zero hardware upgrades.

I think that's a misconception, or a misunderstanding in what someone wants out of something. Console graphics appear to get better over time because developers can make tweaks and "cheat" for the performance because they know how the hardware will handle it.

That's a little more difficult to do on a computer whose hardware is highly variable. However, if you want a graphical experience equal to a console, you also don't need to be able to max out the graphical settings on every game. This alone would make it possible to use a GPU for years on end.

It's only when you want to consistently max out your games that you will need new hardware somewhat regularly (yearly at worst). However, you don't need to max the settings to get a graphical experience equal to a console.
