Dont get me wrong I loved the info that was released but I wish they would have released a movie of two teams actaully playing against eachother. Instead of them just showing off the new weapons. And by the way they could have made the plasma sword way more impressive graphically speaking. I will not however argue with the results.

Im starting to think that the plasma sword and the energy sword are two different swords, cuz in 2003 e3 vid it was all fuzzy and stuff, but in this one it was more like the energy bridges and stuff. But e3 did not suck, it only sucks for us cuz we werent there.

Either all of the graphic effects weren't on or the PS in last years demo was just special CG.

I watched all the movies and dont get me wrong, Oppeten you phsyco, I love Halo I just thought the e3 presentation was kinda bland. This is just my two cents.

  • 05.17.2004 4:15 PM PDT

The sword looks great what's wrong with the sword?

I just think it should have a fuzzier look not perfectly straight non-glowing lines. I bet it looks better in single player. They probably had to turn the effects down to save on lag.

i think they released just enough for us to keep talking about for awhile. I agree that they dont want to ruin the surprise. I dont want them to either. I think that they should release just enough info everytime we get bored with what they gave us recently. Just enough to pass the time before November 9th.

I started a forum like this! They locked it! But yes I agree with you. UNLESS, you were at E3 and got to play the game, because they have a lot of little clips you can watch of people play halo 2 MP and it looked sweet! So I can see why those people are happy! I just thought they said they were going to release more info then they did, but they had problems uploading it and they are suppose to release some cool stuff to make up for it this week! But hey, if you don't agree with E3 sucking, don't be hate'in!

I am not hati'n I am just saying it was a little bland thats all. honestly I was hoping for an all out 8v8 ctf match. And no this wouldnt give away any surprises we all know they will support this.

If they gave us a full ctf game, it would reveal alot of MP secrets that would be better if they surprised us when we bought the game.

Agreed. They released so much at the beginning that my brain almost exploded twice. 8 screenshots, a movie, plenty of articles, and the release date! Now two more brand spanking new screen shots today.

If they had spaced out releasing those things, I think everyone would have a different opinion.

E3 only sucked for Halo 2 if you weren't at E3. There's a reason it won awards last week, you know. And since E3 isn't a public event...

Some people have trouble connecting things in their brain. So they seem to think that the fact that it is not open to everyone some how takes away from the greatness that was Halo 2. It's an exposition to professionals, to show off game features, not for a bunch of fools to get together to play video games, hell, you can do that at home people.

Cool, Bungie's checks cleared...
Honestly, Republic Commando and MGS Snake Eater kicked my ass with only videos and deserve some of Halo 2's attention.

Back to Halo fan mode.
If Bungie opened Halo 2 to the masses it would have been chaos. Teamkilling, scoreless games and L337 dudes would have given off a negative vibe to the media and anyone doubting the game's fun factor would have been proven right. Also, no matter what is presented to the fans, We'll just beg for more and claim enough wasnt passed out. I just wish some of the multiplayer matches were recorded and released with quality and length befitting such an awesome game. 19 second shakey cam is not how a game should be promoted.

Well come on they should aim it towards the public not the few hundred people that saw it in person. There are thousand of other fans out there you know. Bugie hasn't even put the videos on their site yet.

That's because the videos have to be properly recorded, edited, formatted, and hosted. Somewhere in there there has to be clearance from Marketing to release the videos publicly as well.
