Subject: Why do people buy the same remade game over and over?

I'm not just talking about COD of course. I think people who do this should be punched in the face repeatedly until their entire face has caved in. Why the -blam!- would someone buy mario party 8 times (isn't it on a higher number than 8 by now?). Super smash bros is the same every time. There's a gamecube version, a wii version and an N64 version. There's always going to be more of those horrible new super mario bros games. I -blam!- hate new super mario bros btw. I think the talented people at nintendo who made super mario bros 3, world, and yoshi's island have been scrapped for -blam!- adolescent minded designers. Super mario cart has been made too many times too. I think nintendo is the main offender in this case. They must have run out of ideas. Not to mention all sports titles, like Madden NFL.

"Right now it is raining methane on Titan. The planet Uranus is, hilariously, orbiting the sun sideways while Venus spins backwards. We sit here on a planet marked with collisions, rocked by earthquakes, shaken by storms. A planet doomed to be fried in radiation as its magnetic fields collapse, until the sun grows and leaves nothing of the earth but dust. Here we sit, glasses on our noses, inhalers in our pockets, braces on our teeth, and we say "Behold the perfect ORDER of it all!""

Fun fact:

All three Super Smash Bros games play different. So your entire post is invalid.

All the nineties games are just bought for nostalgia. Mostly by gamers from that decade or retro hipsters. Not that I have a problem with that though.

-blam!- nostalgia. If there's on e thing I can't stand it's losers who jerk off to memories of the past. It's pathetic and bottlenecks production of new, worth while games.

As for Mario Kart? Each game does play differently aswell. There are different things in each game to differentiate themselves.

Double dash? There was the whole tag team thing. Mario Kart wii? Bikes, tricks, the whole style of play with the wii, and the lack in an invincibilty frames after being hit makes the wii one play differently. Mario Kart 7? Added customization to make your own karts and the changing type of karts as you progress through the stage (like gliding for example)

It's often the different styles, but similar styles, what make it different. Like the inclusion of the spin dash of Sonic 2, while at first seems minor, but it seperates itself from the first one.

Your post is full of fail.

If only halo stayed like halo 3 to...Then it would still be popular as today.

Are you 1 year old? The point is don't remake it again.

Why not? If it sells and it's what your fanbase wants why would you change it drastically? That's bad buisness, buddy.

Your post is full of fail.
Your post is full of autism. Minor differences will come with every change in game system. The point is that every game of the same title is essentially the same game. Why should it matter if it only has a few changes. That doesn't change the matter. Btw stop talking like a prick.

Well done for completely missing my point. There are small changes what mean nothing (masically the Fifa series) and there other changes what do make a different to the gameplay. Much like the spin dash from Sonic 1 to sonic 2.

  • 12.15.2012 5:55 AM PDT

Perhaps because they enjoyed it the first time around and want to play it again, perhaps with slight changes to keep it fresh though.

I can understand hating the business practice, but not hating the people that are benefiting from it.

You basically just reiterated what you said before. So a big -blam!- congradulations to you too.

I'm your biggest fan!

Because they're insane. Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the exact same -blam!- thing over and over again, expecting -blam!- to change.

Maybe this time, it'll be different.
Nonononononononno please, this time will be different.

Yes I did. Because you completely missed my point, so I had to reiterate the same thing in hopes you could comprehend it. Obviously you can't.

So Halo 3 is a remake of Halo 2?

- You shoot aliens in both games.
- You go to a Halo ring on both games.
- The same characters appear.
- Multiplayer is in both games.
- Both games have Customs.

But then you have the minor differences.

- You can customise you multiplayer Spartan more better.
- You can play as an Elite.
- Achievements.
- Updated graphics.

Don't get me wrong, the question you brought up is valid. But the examples you used were bad. Super Smash Bros and the Mario karts do all play differently.

You obviously are having trouble grasping the fact that I don't agree with you. You basically suck at arguing. A good arguer is supposed to make good arguments. You're just incessantly restating your point and telling me that i'm wrong and you're right. Either you're very young or severely autistic.
