What are you doing, guys?

That's the Flood for ya.

So why haven't you hopped off the bandwagon of hate conducted by the mentally challenged ?

Okay, graphics, soundtrack, and story are certainly debatable, but yes, every Call of Duty game has been mechanically sound, and those who criticize it either don't enjoy it and are overreacting, or are mad because it is popular.

or tired of the repetitiveness

Maintaining core gameplay pillars is bad for a game?

Campaign wise, but multiplayer, get a good gun, camp and you win

That still doesn't make it a bad game. And from what i've heard, blopsII plays diffrently from mw3.

it makes a difference between different games. If i wanted to kill the terrorists over and over again, i would play COD 4. but every since cod 4 its been the same plot. People complain about Halo having similar plots but IMO Cod is more repetitive.

Lol

If you break it down like that then the plots are:

CoD: killing terrorists
Halo: killing aliens

You're right CoD has little effort put into it. Every CoD game basically has the same stuff over and over again. Oh wait they do put effort into it. Each CoD game has:
-New story.
-New maps.
-New weapons/attachments.
-New characters.
-New gamemodes.
-New perks.
-New kill streaks.

If people run past the same spot over and over and still get killed by one guy with one gun, it's their fault for being idiots. Also, there are plenty of viable gun choices in CoD, while in halo it has pretty much always been that the precision weapon dominates.

People complain about Halo having similar plots but IMO Cod is more repetitive. This all started because COD 1-3 was the same thing, so when they changed it people liked it a lot, so since then its been the same thing again, but this time people keep buying it

Halo does follow the same skeletal plot but thevreason it's not considered stale, is the variety of enemys. CoD has a much harder time at adding enemies (due to the lack of, welp, variety IRL) and thusly has to either keep firefights the same or add something thay's basically the same (Juggernaughts). They've also made attempts at stealth and using vehicles. Which, while hardly anything near great, help offer some variety into the mix.

New Engine? Bwahaha.

Still boring same gameplay by the way.

Atleast Treyarch is redeemable I suppose.

That and its REALLY not deserving of its sales/praise.

So you basically hate it because it's popular? The devs, believe it or not, do put effort into the game. Each sequel has an updated engine, new sounds, and new gamemodes (well, since CoD4 it has). While they most definitely don't put as much effort into the game as other companys, they sure as hell don't put "little" effort into it.

Halo is a little different, you kill aliens along the way to a different goal, either that being destroying a halo or going to the ark, etc.

Cod is the same ending all the time. Go kill the terrorist. Its the same ending every time

Yeah, I should have said "updated engine" instead.

Edit: and the gameplay is fun for me, but it's enjoyability is solely a matter of opinion.

Really? I'm far more concerned with games like AC3 and Hitman: Absolution presenting very worrying trends for the future, worlds more than CoD.

Cod is the same ending all the time. Go kill the terrorist. Its the same ending every time

Halo CE: Kill aliens, blow up forerunner stuff
Halo 2: Kill aliens, blow up more forerunner stuff
Halo 3: Kill aliens, blow up the biggest forerunner stuff
Halo 4: Kill aliens, go to Earth to blow up some more ancient tech

WaW: Kill people, end WWII
MW2: Kill people, terrorist gets away
BO: Kill people, but Mason was crazy
MW3: Kill people, don't F up killing terrorist this time
BO2: Multiple story paths and endings

That's some flawless argument you've got there...

You're right CoD has little effort put into it. Every CoD game basically has the same stuff over and over again. Oh wait they do put effort into it. Each CoD game has:
-New story.
-New maps.
-New weapons/attachments.
-New characters.
-New gamemodes.
-New perks.
-New kill streaks.

Let me break that down for you.
- Sequel = Same Story
- New Maps (I'll agree with this one)
- Maybe 5 new weapons, 0 New Attachments (Always acog, g-launcher, ect.)
- One new character
- One new gamemode
- 3 new perks
- Same killstreaks, different names (Maybe exchange "nuke" for "supa doopa noob-killing explosion")
