A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

And while I can honestly say it was alright, I might not have enjoyed all of it.

It had a great soundtrack and some interesting characters, but I just didn't feel it. I didn't really like Bilbo as a character and Radagast was just stupid.

Anyway what did you think of it, for those who have seen it?

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

I rather liked it.

What? People read these?

Heh. I see it.

I thought it was pretty good, but I bet if they didn't all the extra fluff they may have been able to do it in one movie.

One movie? No. Have you read the book? Yes its ONE book but they go to a ton of places and have a ton of adventures, but each is only given a few pages a chapter at most. I love the book but I really enjoy all the "fluff" that was added because it fleshes out the narrative and connects things and people better than the book did. Yes the Azog plot wasn't in the book, but unlike the book its actually going to set up The Battle of Five Armies in a logical way. If you don't know, the book ends with a massive battle with Men/Elves/Dwarves vs Goblins/Wargs. This battle pretty much comes outta nowhere in the book, but the "fluff" in the movies we actually set it up.

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

I like the fluff, because it was done well and I can see how it sets up the plot better than the book did.

Here to end the borrowed time you've all been living on.

I thought it was #SSSIIICCC-blam!-

I actually thought it was really good. Just try not to compare it to LotR, as the stories are completely different, and people say The Hobbit doesn't have a good story because they aren't saving all of mankind...

Brainwashing, idiotic media: "hur dur, vido gaems cas vilenc n iz nt gud. dey ned 2 b baned."

Logic: Really? Then please explain how there's violence in third world countries. I guess they're all poor due to the large amount of video games they buy.

I absolutely loved it. The movie brought back the time when reading the book back in 7th grade and I felt like it stayed true to the book. Peter Jackson is an amazing director and can't wait for the next two movies. However, people need to stop comparing it to LOTR.

I didn't care for a single character in the film. That being said, I still enjoyed the movie.

How does it compare to the original trilogy? Better or worse?

Why didn't Frodo just stick the ring up his ass?

Because Sam would keep turning invisible.

Balin FTW.
I didn't enjoy it all that much either. Lame animation. So far, I like the book better.

I thought it was awesome but it was a bit slow at some parts. However the action scenes were awesome and i think looked better than LOTR. The orcs and goblins tho i thought looked much better in the trilogy.

I thought however the Hobbit compares nicely with the epicness of the Trilogy
